Kenzie looked up quickly, having a sudden thought. She glanced at Jax, a grin forming on her face. "That's right. You got the note, and I didn't!"

"What?!? No!" Kenzie exclaimed. She jumped up and made her way to the table. Going over the plates and silverware, she checked the whole tabletop. "There's usually a note for me, as well, so maybe it's missing."

Jax took the shredded paper out of his pocket and started to put them back together. "I didn't see one for you."

"No, no. On the table," Kenzie directed. Lifting a plate, she shouted, "Found it!"
She held a light pink piece of paper in her hand and waved it around a bit.

"Kenzie Rhodes, we regret to inform you…" she trailed off, figuring she already knew what the rest of the note said. She blinked, and a single tear landed on the paper. Clearing her throat, she started again, "We regret to inform you that your time here will be short. Wait, what? That's all it says. What does that mean?" She looked at Jax, questions in her eyes.

Jax shrugged, "it could mean that you won't be in this box much longer, it could mean that you're gonna die? I honestly don't know."
