"There's someone out there! I swear, I'm not going crazy, I see someone!"
"There's someone out there! I swear, I'm not going crazy, I see someone!"
Sisi coughed on his dry tongue, which felt like it was choking him. He was now pratically on his knees, ready to collapse into the darkness that compelled him.
She kicked off so she could look, running to stand next to her. "Well, damn."
(can I join or am I too late?)
"There's someone out there! I swear, I'm not going crazy, I see someone!"
Nate looked out into the distance. “Should we go look?” He reached into his boot and pulled out a small gun.
"That's it, I'm going out there. I have to see for myself." She placed her daggers down except for one and bolted out into the wasteland. After being a cross country runner and surviving the Helium War, she was a fantastic runner. The figure turned into a person and she slowed, kneeling by the person's side. "Hey, you alright?" Dumb question but okay.

((Come on in amigo)

(Nah mate! Come join the party!)
Nate ran after her and stopped by her side, “An actual person?!” He stares in disbelief.
As Caroline and Nate approached, Sisi gave a soft groan of ‘help me I’m actually dying’ then collapsed at their feet like that. He was out cold.
"I know right?!" She flashed a rare bright smile. She hadn't seen another person in way too long.
“Okay okay move. He needs medical attention,” Nate knelt down.
"Oh for god's sake." She groaned softly. She sighed and scooped the person up, easily carrying him in her arms. "Goddamn he's light. But then again all of us are."
“We never eat,” he laughed. “At least some of have muscle.”
Sisi hung out of her arms, deadweight, but as Caroline had mentioned, he was very light. His bag seemed to be the heaviest thing on his person.
“He’s probably dehydrated and he’s obviously malnourished. We should take him back ,”
"Not like we have much of a choice." A small half smile toyed across her lips. "Come on, let's get him inside. This heat could kill even the most hydrated of people." She started back for the diner.
“If you need anyone. I can’t believe how much I hate, pressures of the… Sorry I have a song stuck in my head,”
Jezebel stood on her toes, waiting for them to come back. "Was it a person? Like, a real person?" She asked childishly
"Like always." She laughed. She made her way inside the diner, placing him down on one of the many empty tables. "Alright, you do your work. The bodies I'm used to dealing with are usually dead."
Nate laughed, “Do you have a whiskey bottle?”
"No shit I do. You know I do." She dug through her bag and pulled out an empty whiskey bottle that she always kept in there for seemingly no reason.
“Thanks,” he cheered and took it fro her hands. He dug through his own bag pulling out a small tube an angiocatheter. “I need water.”
"Got it." She grabbed one of the few extra water bottles from the diner's kitchen. "You're so lucky we have a surplus."
"Here." Jezebel said, handing him a half full bottle. "That work?"
“Don’t I know it,” he winked, “Thanks babe,” he filled the whiskey bottle halfway and put the angiocatheter into Sisi’s hand. “The water pressure should push the air out of the bottle and this the water into him. Hopefully…”
She rolled her eyes, biting back her smile. She liked to think she was immune to Nate's flirting at this point but in reality, no. She missed having someone that would flirt with her, so she actually kind of appreciated it, despite it being quite annoying at some points.
Moments later the water went through the tube and into Sisi. “Boom science bitches!” Nate cheered. “It’ll keep doing that as long as we keep it full,”
Sisi’s fingers twitched back to life a few minutes of waiting later. His breathing grew heavier and slightly louder as his body began to cool down and hydrate.
“I think it’s waking up,” Nate sighed.
