Hawkin hit the bottom of the waterfall with a huge splash. He swam up to the surface, and shook his head like a dog. He pumped his fists up into the air. "Whoo hoo! I'm alive! I knew there would be a bottom of some sorts! Now where is my shirt?"
"Yes, there was a bottom. There was also a much easier way to get down." Rox said, wringing out the bottom of her shirt. "And a much dryer way."
Hawkin shrugged. "Well, I'm kind of impulsive. So I preferred to jump. Plus, I was kind of hot. Water seemed the best way to cool down, and I really like swimming so… For me, jumping was the best thing for me to do. I even did a flip!"
"Meh, I still have my phone. Sadly, no data." She said, the shadows making a blanket for her in the damp cavern. "These shadows are kinda like pets, I mean they follow me around everywhere."
Hawkin shrugged. He still had his phone, but it went swimming. Luckily it was water resistant, so it took little damage. He pulled out his phone. "Mine just has a cracked screen. Same here though. No service. If you excuse me for a moment, I'm going to go around the corner and dry off. Explosions have at least one benefit…"
Luis peered down to where the others were. He wanted to join them, but really didn't want to jump into the water. He spotted a plant at the bottom and grew it until it was wrapped around his waist. Then he had the plant lower him down to a ledge where Rox was.
(I've missed so muchhhhh, this isn't good. I need to jump in somehow)
(Just have him like wake up or something, and hear voices from a cave, and he follows them, and then he looks over the edge of a waterfall and sees people, using his fire as a light.)
Hawkin walked around a corner, and summoned a little explosion. The heat from it, dried him off relatively quickly. He walked back around the corner shaking rock from his blonde hair, and he smelled strongly like gunpowder. He muttered, "I'm dry now, but where is my freaking shirt? I would like it back now…"
Rigel reached out his hand, taking Xander’s. His hand felt warm to the touch, and Rigel immediately took a step closer to Xander. He slowly looked at the water, then inched a step closer. Rigel glanced at Xander, mumbling, “I’m ready when you are.”
Xander took a step into the rushing water, bringing Rigel with him and then put his whole body in it. He relaxed in the water as it sent him closer and closer to the actual waterfall. "Sadly, we're in a cave so I doubt that my power would work in here but this is the only option." He told mostly himself as he saw that they were getting closer to the fall.
"Sup, Luis right?" Rox said absentmindedly
"Yeah…hey." Luis paused, creating an awkward silence. "So you didn't want to swim either?"
"No, I dislike water," she said as the shadow curled around her neck lazily.
"Understandable." Luis muttered, the plant that had brought him down now returning to it's normal size.
"I wonder, have we always lived with these powers or did we just get them?" She ponders aloud, another shadow joining the one on her neck, taking on the form of a long cat.
"I'm not sure. I mean, it's hard to imagine that through all nineteen years of my life I've had this power and only just found out about it now." Luis answered.
Elysia landed in the water with a splash. Luckily her powers didn’t go haywire and everyone was fine. She swam and then got out of the water.
"Perhaps they were activated by a strong emotion?" She said, narrowing her eyes in thought.
"A plane crashing seems like a strong emotion to me," Kylie grumbled. She'd hidden Hawkin's shirt under a small overhang.
Elysia looked at Rox. “Maybe it was activated by adrenaline,” she suggested. She was dripping wet but had no way to dry off.
Rigel instinctively moved closer to Xander, the cooler water sending a shiver down his spine. He stared at the water as he asked, “What do you think my power is?” What do you think is wrong with me? Rigel’s arm bumped into Xander’s, but Rigel couldn’t make himself move away from his warmth this time.
"Suction…? I'm not really sure, maybe creating a vacuum. Didn't it happen with your bag and the plane? This whole thing is really confusing and you shouldn't be worrying about it-" Xander's sentence was cut off when the water forced them down the waterfall. They were welcomed with some light from a crack outside and Xander quickly summoned a cloud to break their fall.
Hawkin walked over to Kylie. He said with a blank expression, "Where is my shirt? I want it back now… Knowing you, and how you already hate me, you probably got someone to wreck it…"
Hawkin waited for a response.
“I didn’t get anyone to wreck it. All it is is wet.” Kylie shrugged with a blank expression.
Hawkin narrowed his eyes. "Ok, but where is it? I want to put it back on."
"Go find it." She crossed her arms, shaking her wet hair behind her shoulder - hair that somehow managed not to loose its sheen.
Hawkin threw up his hands in frustration. A small explosion ensued, covering him. He shook out his hair again, and he continued smelling of gunpowder. "Fine. I'll go find my shirt. Can you at least give me a hint?"
"It's underneath something. And you smell like gunpowder." Kylie held her head high, diving underwater and swimming away, kicking his leg for good measure.
Hawkin stumbled because Kylie kicked his leg. He narrowed his eyes, and dove in after her. "You know I'm a swimmer right? That's what I got a scholarship for… I can outswim anybody."
