"You haven't? Okay, then you're getting one," Lilah said with a nod. "They're the best."
"You haven't? Okay, then you're getting one," Lilah said with a nod. "They're the best."
Cameron shook his head. "No, I haven't had one before." He grinned. "Are they really?"
"Definitely. Trust me, you'll love it," Lilah declared, grinning at him.
Cameron grinned back. “I’ll believe you, then. Where is the waitress?”
"Probably on her way," Lilah said, looking around.
Just as she finished speaking, a younger-looking waitress came over to take their order. "Sorry about the wait. Are you ready to order, or do you need a bit more time?"
"I'm ready. What about you, Cam?" Lilah asked, turning back to him.
Cameron glanced up at the waitress. “Yeah, I’m ready. Lilah, you can order first.” He grinned at Lilah happily.
(Texting my friends about Pre-calc…
G: Glad I'm not you [Autumn].
Me: Thx, G. Lol.)
The waitress turned to the princess with a grin, clearly trying to hold in how excited she was to be waiting on her.
"I'll just get a water, a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and an Oreo milkshake," Lilah told her with a polite smile, folding the menu.
"All right…" the waitress said, jotting down her order. Once she was finished, she looked to Cameron. "And for you, your highness?"
Cameron’s gaze gave a slight flicker but he ordered about the same. “A bacon cheeseburger, fries, a soda and vanilla milkshake, please.” He handed over the menu, which he didn’t touch.
"Okay. I'll be back with your drinks in a moment," the waitress said, smiling as she looked up from her notepad and took the menus.
Cameron gave a slight nod. “Thank you.” He gave a slight grin before looking away.
Lilah thanked her as well, and then she walked back to the kitchen. Turning to Cameron, she cocked her head to the side.
"You okay?" she asked gently.
Cameron looked back at Lilah. “Yep! I’m alright. Why?”
"You just looked like something was bothering you is all," Lilah said with a shrug.
Cameron shrugged too. “I’m just not used to being called ‘highness’. Or being treated with…” He trailed off, shaking his head.
"With respect?" Lilah finished for him, her voice and gaze soft.
Cameron put a slight grin on his face. “Well. Yeah. Respect.”
"Well, if you're with me, then you'll probably gain more than you're used to," Lilah said with a matching grin.
Cameron’s grin grew more. “That’d be nice. Really nice.” He took her other hand gingerly, squeezing it.
Lilah smiled back at him and lifted his hand to press a soft kiss to his palm. She let their hands drop gently back onto the table.
"I love you," she murmured.
Cameron beamed. “I love you too, Lilah.” His voice was soft, tender and it matched his love for her.
Lilah grinned happily and leaned over the table a bit.
"C'mere," she said softly.
Cameron grinned a shyer grin and leaned forward closer. Despite himself, his cheeks turned a faint red.
Lilah lightly brushed her lips against his and pulled away smiling. She, too, was blushing, though hers was a bit of a deeper red than Cameron's.
Cameron matched her smile happily, pulling away too. “What should we do after this?” His voice was still soft and husky.
Lilah shrugged and sat back normally.
"We could go swim in the lake?" she suggested, still grinning. "I'd have to grab a swimsuit from my place, but that wouldn't take long."
Cameron tilted his head. “I’d need to get a swimsuit for myself, though. Not that your idea’s a bad one,” Cameron hastily added.
"I'm sure Liam has something you could borrow… Unless you're sick of borrowing his clothes?" Lilah asked, tilting her head the opposite way.
Cameron tilted his head the opposite way in sync with her. “I’m not sick of it, I just don’t want him to get annoyed.”
Lilah smiled as he tilted his head to match her. "I'm sure it'd be fine. But we could go buy you something if you'd rather do that."
Cameron mirrored her smile on his handsome face. “That’d be cool. I can pay you back for it, since I don’t have any money on me.”
