"I didn't ask anything." Ace tried to keep her attention on the window, so she wouldn't accidentally tough Ray again. "Or I at least don't remember asking anything." She thought for a moment trying to see if she did or not.

Ray gave her a look. "You're not worried about touching me, are you? I really don't mind, Ace." He bit into his muffin, his other hand ready to lift up his drink.

"Ugh, you just get so many crumbs on your face." Her head snapped his way and again she wiped his face. "Muffins are so messy," she paused for a moment then laid her head on the table. "And now I sound like my mother." As her head was down she saw the one girl that was flirting with Ray talking with another guy as the both glanced at them. What are they talking about?

Ray took no notice, though one might think it smart to make him aware. He put a hand on her hand. "Don't worry, I don't care. I like your motherly side."

Ace smiled and looked up at him, that was until she saw the waitress pointing at them. The man had some kind of good thing on his shirt, Ace couldn't make out what it was exactly, but she had a bad feeling. "We need to leave."

Ray noticed her looking at something and looked over his shoulder. He looked back at her. "Are they why? Good eye. Let's go." He rose slowly.

Ace grabbed her pack and stood up heading for the door, but as soon as she did the man did as well. "Os he a high authority?" She whispered to Ray. If he was then they were in big trouble, honestly she had a feeling they have been watch her and Ray for a while.

Ray touched his pouch gently and he grabbed Ace's hand. "Come on, we have to ambush this guy." He hissed this in her ear, opening the door and back out to the cold air.

Ace shivered a little as the cold air hit her skin. "What do you think he wants?" Why are the authorities watching us? Maybe because we look different? She followed after Ray. Slightly she looked over her shoulder and saw the guy tailing them.

Ray pulled her so she was walking next to him. "I don't know. But keep walking forward. Follow my lead, okay?" He walked towards the busy fruit market, where people were buying different sorts of things. There was watermelons, oranges, alcohols, candies, all sorts of things.

"Oo.. Alcohol." Ace got a bit distracted, but quickly brought herself back. "Follow your lead, got it." She was ready for a fight, and had been waiting for a long time. "Are we going to fight this guy?" Most likely Ray was going to fight this guy and Ace was going to have to stand to the side.

"Yes. By us I mean me." Ray shook his head out and unzipped his jacket, ready to pull out one of his weapons.

"And why can't I join in?" She whispered shouts. As usual her cheeks puffed out, they always did that when she was upset. Crossing her arms she kicked the snow that was under her feet. "I want to fight as well."

Ray squeezed her hand. "Calm down. If it gets messy you can join, okay? I don't want this guy hurting you." He spared a glanced over his shoulder. His tactic of going into a crowd was working; the tailing guy was falling behind.

"Why are you so protective of me?" It was a serious question for her. She knew her care for her like family so it was a dumb question, but he has seen her fight and she's good at it. "I know we're like family, but I can fight you know."

Ray avoided the first question. "I know you can fight. But I don't want you fighting anymore. I've had to save you once and that's the last time I want to see you fight."

"It was only one time. It's not like I almost died multiple times." She mumbled under her breath. It wasn't worth fighting with him, but that didn't mean she was going to give up fighting. It made her feel alive and happy, although she didn't understand why.

Ray sighed and looked forward again. "I don't want either of us fighting. It's a good way for the government to open their eyes to- aha!" He pointed to a building far off, slightly hidden by all of the stalls. "Let's go there, we can hide and ambush him."

"Okay." Ace wondered what he was going to say before he stopped midsentence. She walked close to him not wanting to get separated by the crowd of people walking everywhere. "This place is busy."

Ray shifted his grip on her and adjusted so they were walking to the building. "That's good, isn't it? It's harder to be followed."

"That is true." Ace's mind was running wild, she hated to be around so many people. All she's learned about people is that they can betray you at any moment and that they only get close to you when they want something. Ray was the only one who has proven to be different. "Why do you think he is following us? We didn't do anything."

Ray shook his head. "I have no idea. Let's just get to the building and talk there." He was nervous with all of these people. If a fight were to break out all of them could get hurt… the running, pumping blood that keeps them alive would be spilled.

"Alright," Ace kept silent the rest of the way. She knew she asks a lot if questions and it could be annoying and he was right, it's probably best to not talk about this with so many people around. Ace was thrown around while trying to make it to the building. At some point she had been pushed around so much she lost sight of Ray. "Ray," Her heart was racing and her mind had gone blank. Qith this many people she was scared she was going to be able to find him. "Get out of the way!" She screamed and started to push the people back.

Ray felt Ace's hand leave his and he immediately turned around in the search for her. "Ace!" He pushed around, going left and right, a little forward and back. "Aace!" He spotted her mask from afar and pushed to get to her. He reached out and grabbed her shoulder desperately.

Ace was shocked at first by the sudden pull, she had no idea who it could be since her mind was a mess, but as soon as she turned around she saw Ray and could breath again. "That was scary," She laughed, although she was thinking that she never wanted to do that again. "Sorry, now we are further from the building again."

Ray grabbed her hand firmly. "That's alright. I found you before that man did and that's all that matters. I think we messed up his trail on us, too, which is good." He smiled warmly, though he could feel himself shaking. He couldn't imagine himself without her.

"Uh, are you okay? You're shaking. Are you cold?" Ace had a bit of money and cut possibly but him a better jacket. Ray was practically dragging Ace through the crowd and she was having trouble following. All she wanted to do in the Los moment was get rid of some of these people, they were annoying her.

"No, I'm alright." Ray was glad his voice was stable and not shaky. "Keep up, Ace." He didn't mean to snap, but he didn't want to lose her again.

"Uh, okay…" Ace started to really push people now knocking them to the ground. "Ray are we close? I can't see." There were a lot of tall people around here, and Ace wasn't exactly short either.

Ray stood on his tip-toes as if preparing to march backward. "Yes, we're almost there. Look!" He pointed. If she could see the building was only a few feet away.
