Bastian laughed a bit loudly when Avie sneezed, but was distracted by Castile’s request. “Uh…If it’s okay with Halo, I guess,” he said with a shrug

Halo nods. "Sure I guess." He smiles, "I'm gonna get started on dinner." He walks into the appartment humming softly.

Bastian gave him a thumbs up as best he could before adjusting his grip on Avie

Castile watches his brother go before turning on Bastian. He looks the other up and down before saying lowly, "You really have no idea about what he's been through have you?" Castile clicks his tongue. "And now he's immortal. How curious." He sighs and runs his brow. "I swear to God if you hurt him…"

“Oh come on, are you serious? You’re really giving me the big brother talk,” Bastian scoffed before setting Avie down

"Yes, I am. Do you know what hell he's been through? I know you can see into people's minds, Bastian. You're not the only supernatural kind out there." Castile growls, crossing his arms. He glances at the door an sighs. "He's the sweetest kid known to man. He's just like his name. Halo." Castile runs a hand through his hair. "A sweet tenderhearted person who lives to please."

“And you think I don’t know that?” Bastian scoffed. “In case you haven’t noticed, we’re doing well together. And I don’t read the minds of people I care about. I have class, unlike the guy who apparently disappeared.”

"Halo was the one to disappear. He hasn't told you his child life? What happened as a teen?" He raises a brow. "Real close if you ask me." He rolls his eyes and sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

“And I’m not going to ask unless Halo says something first. I don’t go poking where I don’t belong, pal. Everyone’s got shit they don’t wanna talk about, and I’m going to respect Halo’s decision to not talk if he doesn’t want to,” Bastian huffed

He sighs and shakes his head, "As a warning. Be prepared for it just in case. He'll tell you sooner or later. As for now… I need to head back. But I'm watching. Know that." Castile says. "Gotta head out Halo. I'll check in soon, Kay?" He calls through the door. He looks at Bastian before walking away.

Bastian glared a bit at Castile before going to Halo. He wrapped his arms around Halo from the back. "Your brother's strange," he muttered

Halo smiles. "He's sweet once you get to know him." He chuckles and kisses Bastians cheek. "Dinner is about ready. Hungry?"

"Oh yeah, I'm starving," Bastian chuckled. He tilted his head a tad, simply kissing gently at the crook of Halo's neck

Halo smiles at that, tilting his head a little, loving the feel of Bastians lips on his neck. "Mmm. Mind setting the table?"

Bastian hummed in agreement, but he didn't get up just yet. He pressed a last kiss to Halo's neck before going and setting the table

Halo chuckles and finishes making dinner before placing it on the table. "Enjoy, love." He says happily.

"Mm, I will," Bastian said before sliding into his seat. He dug in just about immediately, smiling as he did so

Halo kisses Bastians cheek and hums. "So… Christmas is coming up soon." He chuckled softly and nudges his side. "Any thoughts?"

Bastian shrugged a bit. "I don't know, I don't really celebrate Christmas. When I was little we had 'Lochreka,' which was kind of like a big festival that did stuff like Christmas. We usually celebrate it at the bar, but it's less wild," he said with a small chuckle

Halo hummed in thought. "Back in Japan, Christmas Eve wad celebrated more than Christmas day. It was a time for couples to exchange presents and enjoy each other's company. It was more about spreading joy then religion. Fried chicken is usually served, children perform plays. And then Christmas day is a day of rest and relaxation."

Bastian raised a brow at that. "Mm, that sounds kind of good. Lochreka is more of a festival type thing, all traditional stuff. The high priest would go with the parade through town, there'd be parties everywhere, and lots and lots of drinking. You'd put on these traditional gold and red kimono things, all sorts of stuff."

Halo laughs gently into his hand. "Maybe we can do a mix of both." He kisses Bastians lips gently.

"Fried chicken, kimonos, and drinking, huh? Well, usually all the honuko get together in the club on Christmas to do a sort of mini Lochreka, so maybe we could do both holidays?" Bastian suggested

"We could." Halo smiles gently before eating his food. He taps his lip in thought. Christmas was indeed getting closer and he wasn't sure what to do.

"And we'd have an excuse to get all sorts of…fun stuff. That's one thing I love about the holidays," Bastian chuckled

Halo laughs and shakes his head, "Honestly, Bastian." He kisses Bastians cheek, a soft chuckle escaping his lips.

"You know you love me," Bastian chuckled before pecking Halo back

"Indeed I do." Halo laughs, "Even if it does leave me with a sore ass." He teases lightly. He finishes his food before humming softly and beginning to clean.

"Don't worry, you can make my ass sore all you want at Christmas time," Bastian hummed before winking at him

Halo chuckles and walks to sit beside him again. "I'd love that~" he teases, laughing lightly.
