“A-Ace? What— they let you out of the hospital?” She hugged him back, desperately needing his support.

"No, I let myself out." Ace kissed her lips, not caring about everyone who was staring, he pulled himself away from her lips, wanting to kiss her again, "I love you."

Frankie stood abruptly, shaking herself out of the daze Blake had her in. Ace was walking out. "GOSH DARNIT ACE WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING???" She grabbed Blake's hand and ran out after him.

Frankie and Blake caught up not too shortly after and caught sight of Ace and Macha flirting and kissing down the hall. Frankie was about to run up to him to drag him back when Blake said a quiet, "Give them a moment."

Macha’s brow furrowed. “Ace… you have to wait..”, she kissed his nose. “Come on.”

"Come where?" Ace slid a hand over her shoulder, "Why are you in the hospital wing anyway? Did something happen?"

“Apparently something did.” She frowned. “But I dint remember any of it. Also—“ she swallowed. “Some of Fae’s friends arrived.”

"Fae?" Ace cocked his head, "Fae's friends?"

Frankie and Blake watched closely, waiting for the right time to approach Ace but there didn't seem to be a "right time". Frankie noticed Ace frown and Macha's face darken. Something wasn't right.

Macha tapirs Fae’s bracelet to remind him. “The one who died three years ago.”, she said quietly. “Her old boyfriend just showed up, and he’ablind, and apparently I passed out and started screaming and growing stone skin again but I don’t remember.”

"Oh." Ace pulled Macha closer and kissed her lips, again. "It's all going to be okay. I promise."

Macha leaned into him, her safe place, her saviour. “But only if you’re okay.”

"I'll always be okay." Ace hugged her and kissed her on the forehead. "I'll always be here."

(As if on cue his stomach started bleeding.)

Macha Lowe’s herself to sink into his blissful embrace, listening to his heartbeat. “But not if you don’t get healed.”

Ace patted his bleeding stomach, "I'm fine." he lowered himself as well and tilted Macha's chin up to meet his eyes, "We'll hold each other up."

That was Frankie and Blake's cue. They ran up to Ace. "Ace. What. Did. We. Tell. You. About. Leaving. Your. Bed? YOUR STOMACH IS BLEEDING FOR GOODNESS SAKE." Frankie said. Blake joined in at the last part. "I'm sorry. I know you miss each other but your life is in danger." Frankie said apologetically.

Macha found herself getting lost in those purple eyes all over again. “But—“

Ace smiled at them, "I'm fine! Macha can attest to that. Can't you, darling?"

Ellis began to stir a little, so Oeter stopped messing with his feathers.

"You sure don't look fine." Blake said under his breath, looking Ace up and down.

Ace smiled at them, "I'm fine! Macha can attest to that. Can't you, darling?"

Macha sighed. “I’m just worried about you. At least take some medicine?” He called me darling!

"Medicine, shemedicine." Ace waved the idea off, "I'm going to be okay. Trust me on this." he flashed a grin. "Darling."

Her heart stopped for a moment at this. “You know how to get me to trust you.”, she murmured.

"This is cute and all but why don't you continue this in the hospital rooms. He's not supposed to be out…" Frankie said nervously.

Ace ignored Frankie, and responded to Macha, "I do."
