"But you can't bring yourself to do so." Liam sighed and looked up at the ceiling and pulled a knee to his chest, resting an arm on it as he an a hand through his hair.
"But you can't bring yourself to do so." Liam sighed and looked up at the ceiling and pulled a knee to his chest, resting an arm on it as he an a hand through his hair.
"I don't know, Liam. Honestly, I'm kicking myself for letting his words get to me," Kasey sighed, looking down at her hands.
"Matt's a manipulative bastard, I don't blame you." Liam muttered, bringing his other knee to his chest.
Kasey nodded in agreement, staying silent for a few minutes. After a while, she finally spoke, her voice soft
"Hey, Liam?" she whispered without looking at him.
"Yes, Kasey?" Liam replied, letting out a deep breath.
"You know I love you, right?" Kasey asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she looked up at him.
Liam nodded, "I know you do." He replied softly.
Kasey nodded slowly.
"Good," she breathed, barely audibly.
"And I love you, too." Liam finally looked over at Kasey.
Kasey's lips twitched up in a slight smile. "Yeah?"
Liam nodded, "Yeah, I do."
Kasey's smile grew a bit.
"I'm glad," she whispered.
"I'm sorry, about what I said before." Liam said quietly, followed by a sigh.
"It's fine…" Kasey said with a shrug, dropping her gaze again.
"No it's not, Kasey. I shouldn't have said that stuff I didn't mean it." Liam said, looking over at her.
"Well, it's true, though… You are a reporter, and you have no reason to understand why I'm struggling to trust you," Kasey glanced back up as she spoke.
"I know but you're still my girlfriend a-and I don't want to say anything to hurt you…" Liam muttered, running a hand through his hair.
"We're a mess…" Kasey whispered in a sigh as she closed her eyes.
Liam huffed a laugh, "Yeah, we are. But we'll figure it out, together."
Kasey opened her eyes again and gave Liam a small smile.
"Yeah… Together," she agreed softly.
Liam returned the small smile and placed a kiss to her cheek, "I stand by what I said before, take all the time you need to figure things out, I'm not going to judge or get angry at you."
"Thank you," Kasey said, her smile widening slightly. She sighed as she remembered something. "I forgot to quit my job…"
"You can do that later, it's not that important in the present." Liam sighed a little.
"I'm supposed to go in tomorrow," Kasey muttered.
"Ah, maybe you should call them later then." Liam replied.
"I really don't want to," Kasey sighed. "But I know that I should for the sake of my sanity…"
"Yeah, that would probably be best." Liam leaned backwards into the bed.
"Yeah… But later…" Kasey murmured, closing her eyes as she leaned back as well. She wasn't quite as close to Liam as she had been before, still not sure if he would want her to be.
"You know if you need space I can leave if you want…" Liam said, noticing the space between them but didn't know if it was because of him or not.
"No, you're good. I just… didn't know if you wanted space is all," Kasey admitted with a shrug and light blush.
