"Yes, definitely." Cordelia looked around at everyone else, then looked back at Lucy. "Was there anything else you like to do? Or any other sports that you liked to do?"
"Yes, definitely." Cordelia looked around at everyone else, then looked back at Lucy. "Was there anything else you like to do? Or any other sports that you liked to do?"
"Well, I did love running track. My parents made a small little track for me to run around in when I was around the same age with the baseball. I couldn't go out and show how fast I was but I was fine with keeping it in my home." Lucy looked up at Cordelia smiled, happy that she got her mind off of other things.
“Corbin Abbot,” He answered. “And you?” He asked. God, he was burnin pg up in this uniform. He reached up and pulled his usual royal guard helmet and ran a hand over his stubble before smoothing his hair back
"Bianca. It's nice to meet you!" She said, holding out a hand for him to shake. "You should probably put the helmet back on if you don't want to get killed by Matteo when he comes around. He's a rea-" Matteo stepped from around the corner, making her cut off her sentence with a squeak.
"What are you doing here?" He asked pointedly, raising an eyebrow.
(Sorry for not answering. I was on a mental heath break)
Corbin quickly put his helmet on when the man, who he assumed was Matteo, came around the corner. He looked over at him and straightened his posture. He assumed the man was talking to him. “I was brought along to help guard the royal families rooms.”
"Well, I did love running track. My parents made a small little track for me to run around in when I was around the same age with the baseball. I couldn't go out and show how fast I was but I was fine with keeping it in my home." Lucy looked up at Cordelia smiled, happy that she got her mind off of other things.
"But are you fast?" Cordelia asked, raising her eyebrows. "Do you think you could beat anyone at this table? Hypothetically, of course." She smiled.
Lucy matched the same eyebrow raise and drank from her wine. "Hypothetically, I think I could. I was quite the runner." She chuckled at the end of it.
"Hmm, interesting. Now hypothetically, of course, would you be up for challenging someone here to a high stakes race, if the need arises?" She took a sip from her glass. "Because, hypothetically, it would be good information to keep in mind."
Lucy laughed at their excessive use of the word 'hypothetical'. "Hypothetically, I would be up for the challenge with the high stakes included. But sadly, it would be impossible to prove that."
"And why's that?" Cordelia asked, grinning at her.
"Well, it would be seeming unladylike to the others, annnnnddd I do not have running attire with me." Lucy said while laughing.
"Well, hypothetically, I suppose we shall have to change that." Cordelia took another sip from her glass. "Because you will never know when the hypothetical situation will arise."
"And hypothetically, where would I be able to find such clothing in case the hypothetical situation came?" Lucy responded while smiling.
"Hypothetically, I'm not sure but most likely I could hypothetically come up with something," Cordelia said, looking around the room at everyone with a face that could only be described as a 'scheming face'.
"What would you come up with, hypothetically?" Lucy asked after she saw the look on Cordelia's face.
"Oh, just the proper hypothetical attire for you. How I would come up with it though is the question . . . " She looked back at Lucy then around the room again. "Yes, I'm quite sure I could come up with something. Hypothetically of course," she said with a wink at Lucy.
"Saying hypothetical this much is getting me quite confused now." Lucy laughed. "Okay, that's enough about me, have you done any sports?"
"Me?" Cordelia laughed. "Goodness no. Besides dancing I hate almost anything physical. I do enjoy reading, however. And learning in general."
"Oh no, I've met a nerd." Lucy giggled, taking a sip from her water. "I myself do like a good book but learning in general, I can't stand it."
“What a shame,” Cordelia said sipping her wine. “Well maybe I can find something to convert you. I actually consider myself more of an intellectual than a nerd. But whatever works. What kind of things are you interested in?”
"Other than sports that I can't play anymore, I would say dancing too, as well as parties. I love to get to know more people and make more friends. People say that being too extroverted is bad, but I couldn't care less, to be honest."
“Who says it’s bad? While it’s true I enjoy a good book, just being with people and talking and engaging in conversations and laughing and debating. It makes me feel . . . alive.” She turned to face Lucy, a gleam in her eye.
"Men always acting like they have certain claims on girls and we can't do anything without them including interacting." Lucy calmed down a bit, remembering where she was again before continuing. "I guess that's what it makes me feel too."
"Yes," Cordelia said, looking down. "There is that too. I know that all too well," she said quietly. She looked quickly up at Lucy, her eyes wide. "I have something to tell you," she said very quietly. "But . . . later. For now though," she said smiling. "I am determined to find something for you to learn. Have you ever found anything in your studies that interested you?"
"Well, there's something in psychology that I would like to explore more." She said in a more quiet tone. "It's not something that I would arrange all my studies around for but it is of interest." She gave her plate over to a waiter and received her desert. "Why are you determined?" She asked while taking a bite.
"You said you didn't like learning and I wanted to change that in at least one subject," she said, taking a bite of her dessert as well. She closed her eyes and smiled a little. "Mmm. Her Grace's chef is extremely talented. I wonder if she'd teach classes?'
"Maybe, maybe not. What subject do you like the most other than reading?" Lucy asked.
"I've found science to be fascinating. Especially astrology. Space is so incomprehensibly vast. It's fascinating," she said, a sparkle in her eyes. "I've also found myself to be quite proficient in learning languages."
"That's interesting. Maybe one day you'll have to tell me more about it. What languages do you know?" She asked while placing a palm under her chin.
"I know French and Greek, but I'm currently learning Spanish, Latin, and Tagalog. I'd love to learn German as well but everyone tells me it's a dead language and I shouldn't waste my time," she said taking a bite of her dessert. "Do you know any languages?"
"Of course English," She joked, taking another bite. "But I do know Spanish, French, and Italian. Maybe I could teach you someday."
(k I'm gonna speak french then sometimes but I'm literally just using google translate. I can also provide a translation if anyone wants me to)
"Oh! Vous parlez français aussi? C'est excellent. And I would love help with Spanish. It's given me trouble in the past for some reason."
