"Probably, i dont really know." He says, jumping down from his perch.
"Probably, i dont really know." He says, jumping down from his perch.
Fiona walked up to the guy and stuck out her hand "i'm Fiona, and just from where you were sitting i'm guessing that you are on the team."
Azora watched the raven as it examined the coin and listened to the conversation above. So far a team of three.
Parker walked through the park, her boots clicking against the walkway. She stopped under a darkened lampost and pulled the gold envelope out from the pocket of her long coat. She opened it up and pulled the paper out and read over the invitation again, making sure she had the right place. She sighed and put the letter back in the envelope, put the envelope back in her pocket, and walked towards the bridge.
"Perhaps." He says vaguely with a sly smile, shaking her hand. "My name is Karis."
Fiona immediately knew that she was going to get along well with Karis and answered his sly smile with "nice name! so since i'm pretty sure you on the team what are you, pure blood or half?" Fiona realized that she was probably creeping Karis out so she stopped talking.
"Go on take it and go," She whispered to the raven, "I don't have anything else for you."
Karis raised an eyebrow. "Half of what? Angel, demon, human?" He asks, turning the question around on her. Karis find it funny to confuse others.
Fiona thought about that for a second and then responded "yes." smiling the whole time, trying to see what Karis would do. she added "i'm a half, my mom is human but my dad is an Angel."
"I am half Angel and Demon." He states, shifting his wings out and curling them around himself. Cold he thinks, his wings responding to his thought.
Parker saw two creatures talking to each other as she approached the bridge. One of them had light-colored wings, and the other appeared human. From watching them talk she could tell they were trying to get a feel of each other. She reached the bridge and leaned against a lamppost next to it.
Fiona looked at his wings and gasped she had never seen any like them and thought they were beautiful "wow," she finally said "i wish mine were that cool." Fiona unfurled her wings and spread them out as far as she could, which wasn't very far and looked at Karis' beautiful grey wings and then at her own white and blue ones.
"Yours are nice is suppose, i wish i had gotten Demon wings instead. They are much more practical." he says, his wings shifting to where there were only hints of the dark grey and was now mostly black.
Fiona nodded and answered "mine are terrible, you can always see them because they are white and they are even quite small, and i can't change their color." Fiona folded her wings back and added "i've never seen a pair of Demon wings but i bet they are awesome."
"Everybody's got wings except me I must the odd one out." She whispered to the raven who flapped his own wings and cawed, "Yeah you have wings too."
"They are." He says wistfully. "My papa has the most beautiful wings in every dimension, or so my father says." he laughs, his wings moving along with his shoulders.
"Shit, shit, shit, coming through!" MJ yelled from above. "I don't think I can hold my wings for much long-" Just then, MJ's small wings folded in automatically, and she fell towards the ground, flailing her arms. "Fuck, I'm so fucking dead. Watch out-"
She closed her eyes, concentrating, and two jets of flames shot out from her hands to the ground, slowing her fall. MJ collapsed on the ground, groaning. "So much for that shortcut. Anyway, I'm here now!" She jumped up. "Sorry that I may or may not be late, I was…" She looked back at the scorch marks she had made on the bridge. "Occupied."
Parker stared at the girl who had just fallen out of the sky and ran over to her. "Are you alright?" she asked urgently, looking her over.
"They are." He says wistfully. "My papa has the most beautiful wings in every dimension, or so my father says." he laughs, his wings moving along with his shoulders.
Fiona tried to answer Karis "I've always wan-," when she saw someone fall from the sky and land on the bridge. she turned to finish her sentence quick to Karis "like i said i've always wanted to see demon wings." she shook her head and sighed quick then rushed over to the girl and said "are you ok?"
"No," MJ groaned, brushing off some invisible dirt off of her aviator jacket. "God, flying's a pain in the ass."
"That depends on the flier, i rather enjoy flying." Karis says, walkling over to the girl.
"Good lord of all things unholy," Azora came out from under the bridge fallowed by her new raven friend hopping along behind her. "We need to keep a low profile, other wise human cops are going to show up, that means no fire balls"
"Understandable." He says and shifts away his wings. "Is this everyone?"
"Are you sure you're okay?" Parker said quietly to the girl. "That was a lot of height, you could've broken something."
Fiona backed away and let everyone else deal with the newcomer. she walked to the edge of the bridge and hopped up on the railing, walking across it several times before jumping off the side and unfurling her wings before she hit the water and flew up to the top of a light post and sat there.
MJ waved a hand dismissively. "Psh, if I was really hurt, I could've gone to a healer. Nah, I'm fine. So what's the mission?"
Azora looked at her watch, "One minute and counting." She said before started to climb up to the top of the bridge.
Fiona sighed when she saw everyone talking and flew back down. as soon as she got down everyone was done talking so she just stood by the side of the bridge with her wings out playing with a droplet of water she grabbed from the river, turning it and twisting it into different shapes with her ability.
"One minute until what, exactly?" Parker asked nervously, watching her climb.
"Until we jump," Azora said leaning over the edge leaning over the edge of the bridge. At took a deep breath trying to sense when the gate opens.
