Marcos laughed into Justin’s shoulder, “That would be nice…” He snuggled into Justin, not wanted to move just yet and get a computer or tablet quite yet. Marcos closed his eyes, holding onto the moment for just a little longer.
Marcos laughed into Justin’s shoulder, “That would be nice…” He snuggled into Justin, not wanted to move just yet and get a computer or tablet quite yet. Marcos closed his eyes, holding onto the moment for just a little longer.
Justin stayed cuddled to Marcos for a minute longer. “Get into the bed and I’ll go grab my laptop…” Justin held on for a few extra seconds before walking over to his bag near the door. He opened the bag and grabbed in laptop and charger so they wouldn’t have to get up when it dies.
Marcos slid into the bed, curling the blanket around himself. He smiled at Justin, biting his lip at the same time. Getting an actual job… “I guess I’m going to have to work a lot harder…” Marcos muttered, wringing his hands.
Justin went over to the bed and plugged the charger into the wall. “A job is fun and terrible at the same time. Depending on what your job is.” Justin climebed into the bed next to Marcos. “So what type of job do you want?”
“An easy one…” Marcos mumbled, slightly embarrassed but it was true; he wanted an easy job. “One where I can still hang out with you… But still be able to pay for things.” He leaned his head on Justin’s shoulder, snuggling closer.
“That’s a good start…” Justin opened his computer and logged in. He opened up a blank document to write stuff on. “What would you like your job to include? Cleaning? Serving food? Making food? Teaching of some sort? Watching kids? Anything really.”
“I don’t know… What job would let be able to spend time with you?” Marcos asked quietly, staring at the computer and the blinking cursor. “It has to be realistic too, something that a guy who dropped out of college can get…” Like a stay-at-home-parent would be nice…
(whispers hi…)
Justin stopped and thought for a minute. “Like something where you can work from our house or something with hours that allow you to see me…?” Marcos working at the house would be nice but if his hours allowed them to see each other all the time that would also be nice. It’s also not like they’re never going to see each other. They live in the same house.
“Yeah… I know it’s selfish and if you don’t want that it’d fine too,” Marcos added hastily, frowning at himself. I be the thinks I’m so needy all the time… Marcos moved a little, turning on his side.
Justin put his hand on Marcos. “Hey, What’s wrong…?” Justin wandered if he said or did something wrong. “It’s nit selfish for you to want to see me… I want to see you too…”
“You do? Are you really sure you wouldn’t get sick of me?” Marcos mumbled self-consciously, chewing on his lip as he focused his attention on the computer screen. “I just…” I’m just overly worried after everything that happened. “I’m sorry, nothings wrong,” Marcos made himself smile reassuring, and refocused himself on the task at hand.
“You sure?” Justin wrapped Marcos on a hug. “And I could never get sick of you.” He kissed Marcos on the cheek. “I haven’t yet so therefore I never could.”
Marcos laughed a little, leaning his head on Justin’s shoulder and sighing, “I have no idea what kind of job I could get and still like doing it… Right now I think the only few options I have are late night fast food restaurants or maybe a gas station.” He closed his eyes, trying to stop his hopes from inevitably falling.
Justin smiled at the laugh Marcos gave. “You could always work something during the early day… that way I can see you at night, so we can cuddle.” Justin have a tighter hug to Marcos when he said the word to ‘cuddle’ “I like cuddling with you.”
“I do too,” Marcos murmured, and without filtering nor realizing what he was saying, he mumbled almost inaudibly, “A stay at home parent would be nice… Then I could be with you and we-“ Marcos choked on himself, immediately freezing and tensing up. Gosh please tell me I didn’t say that out loud, oh gosh-
Justin pulled away from Marcos barely so he could look at his face. “A stay at home parent?” Justin tried to compress his smile. “I like that idea.” Justin has hugged Marcos tighter again.
Marcos’ face was probably redder than a fire hydrant at this point, “I-I-I— uh, well, um —er— it’s stupid.” He could barely even form words at this point, staying frozen and tense even when he felt Justin hug him. Marcos ended up burying his too red face in Justin’s shoulder, mumbling through the fabric, “I hadn’t meant to say that out loud…”
“I’m glad you did.” Justin smiled as he thought of what Marcos would look like talking care of kids. “I like that idea. You with kids.” Him and Marcos living in a house with kids would be a dream come true.
Marcos blushed further, “You- You really- You really th-think so?” He asked, then quietly -shyly- added, “Would you- would you w-want that?” He forced himself to not get his hopes up, keeping his head buried in Justin’s shoulder.
Justin’s smile grew. “I would love that. After we finish the whole ordeal with the house we can look into kids. Since you know…” Justin paused for a moment, a slight laugh wanting to come out. “It’s not really possible…”
Marcos let out a tiny laugh, moving to curl his arms around Justin’s neck as a tiny smile grew on his face, “Adopting would be nice. Or if we were going to… you know, get someone else to carry the baby…” Marcos mumbled, not quite believing they were even talking about this.
Justin shut his computer and put it on the floor, figuring they might not need it at the moment. Justin rewrapped his arms around Marcos. “If you were to find someone to carry… who would, um… be, you know, the one to…” Justin stumbled on his words, not fully sure of what he was asking but also knowing exactly what he was asking.
Marcos shifted a little where he was sitting, leaning his head on Justin’s shoulder as he mumbled, “Well… uh… I dunno… Would you want the kid to look like you or me? Not to mention our, uh, powers- if they’re hereditary, that is…” Marcos looked at the floor, still a little hesitant to talk about how they both had powers.
“And there’s that…” Justin didn’t know which was more awkward to talk about. Who would be the biological father if they did find someone to carry or them having powers. “What if we, um, both… fertilize the egg…” Justin shifted a little in the bed. “I think I heard about that somewhere. We’ll either both be the father… or one of us will… but we don’t know who…”
Marcos turned slightly red at the awkwardness of it all, nodding at the same time though. “That’s sounds… good… Yeah, it sounds good,” He nodded, still blushing, but he shook his head at himself. Marcos laid his head on Justin’s shoulder, letting out a little laugh at himself before he asked, “Are you really sure that you… that you want to have a family with me?”
Justin let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. “Why wouldn’t I want to have a family with you…? I love you. You know that, right?” The future has suddenly become bright and busy for them. Between buy the house and possibly finding someone to carry their baby and having a kid it looked like they would have their hands full. That was fine by Justin as it just meant more time with Marcos.
“I guess… you’re just way out of my league,” Marcos told him with a small, almost sad, laugh. This talk about the future, gosh it was perfect, made him realize just how much he didn’t belong in a future like that. That he was incredibly lucky to have Justin. “I forget it easily, I guess,” Marcos forced a tiny smile as he looked at Justin’s eyes.
“Well don’t ever forget that I love you. Or might have to tattoo it to your forehead.” Justin laughed a little at that. “While we’re on the topic of our future together… is there anything else we might want to plan?” Justin wasn’t sure if there was but Marcos always seemed to have a great ideas.
Marcos laughed with him, humming happily as he closed his eyes. “Marriage would be fun,” He mused jokingly, even though he wasn’t opposed to the idea. It probably wouldn’t go over well with there families- none of this would.
