"I still think you cheated." Liam replied, raising an eyebrow.
"I still think you cheated." Liam replied, raising an eyebrow.
Kasey huffed a laugh. "All right, whatever you say. Do you want to have a rematch?"
"Hm… yeah nah, you'll probably win again." Liam replied with a smile.
"All right, fine," Kasey laughed. "What about… Go fish?"
"Sure… how do you play again?" Liam asked, biting his lip.
Kasey smiled and grabbed the deck of cards. "Okay, so we each get seven cards, and you have to get a matching pair. The cards just have to be the same number, not color. When you do, you lay them down next to you. If you don't have one and it's your turn, you ask, 'Do you have a…' Fill in the blank with whatever card you need. If the person you asked doesn't have one, they say, 'Go fish' and you draw from the pile. If you get the card you asked for, you can take another turn; that goes for both asking for and drawing a card."
Liam nodded slowly, "Okay… that seems simple enough. Want me to deal again?"
Kasey shrugged with a smile. "If you want to, go ahead."
Liam nodded and hummed work this out from high school musical 2 while he did so, making sure the cards were thoroughly shuffled before dealing them out.
Kasey grinned at Liam.
"Are you humming a Disney song?" she asked, a hint of laughter in her voice.
"Hm? Oh what no, course not.. why would I… watch… disney?" Even as he spoke the statement came out more like a question.
"It's okay, I like Disney, too," Kasey laughed a bit. "And there are plenty of other guys who watch it."
"I don't watch disney!" Liam sighed, "Okay… fine maybe I do…" He muttered.
Kasey grinned and kissed his cheek.
"Don't be embarrassed about it," she told him.
"How many guys do you know that watch disney?" Liam asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well… Personally, one. Two, including you," Kasey said with a shrug. "But there are others."
"Oh great…" Liam muttered before shaking his head, "Anyway, you first."
(Skip… Again…)
Kasey sighed and set her left over cards down. "Okay, you won. You had the most pairs. Good job!"
"Thanks! I still can't believe I won though." Liam put his cards down and sat back on the bed.
"Well, I think you need to start believing in yourself more," Kasey chuckled tiredly.
Liam rubbed his neck, "Hm… yeah," He looked up at Kasey, "You look tired, do you need me to go so you can rest?"
"No, I'm fine. You can stay," Kasey said, holding back a yawn. "Plus, you need sleep, too, so even if I did need to sleep you wouldn't have to leave."
Liam nodded, "Okay, and you do need sleep. I can see it."
"No really, I'm–" Kasey was cut off by a yawn, and she made a face when she finished. "Okay, maybe I'm a little tired…"
"You should get some rest, then." Liam said gently, giving Kasey a smile.
Kasey stuck her tongue out at him.
"Fine, if you insist… But you should join me."
"Fine fine. I will," Liam yawned, "If I can actually fall asleep."
"You'd better. Or I'm getting you a sedative," Kasey joked as she scooted down in her bed. She adjusted the pillow under her leg and propped up her injured appendage better.
Liam chuckled, "Yes Miss, whatever you say Miss." He rolled his eyes a little as he lent back on the bed.
"Oh, whatever I say, huh?" Kasey teased, turning slightly to grin at him.
