Halo smiles, nuzzling the other happily. He shivers when he feels John's hands brush his wings. He smiles a little, humming softly at the kisses to his neck. He felt so happy at the moment. He relaxes, kissing the side of John's head. "I love you too." He whispers, nuzzling the other. "I love you more than anything. I will do anything for you." He whispers, kissing him gently.
“I’ll do anything for you too,” John murmured back, melting a little at each kiss. He curled one leg around Halo’s, brushing his hand down Halo’s wing again. John dragged his lips to Halo’s, kissing him deeply.
“Hey, Doc, what’s-“ John heard the voice halt at the entrance to the medical tent, but he really didn’t feel like looking over and seeing who the soldier was. He felt safe enough in Halo’s arms.
Halo smiles, holding the other as he continues to pepper kisses along John's neck, jaw, cheeks, nose, lips, and forehead. He shudders at the gentle wing strokes. Halo kissed back, tilting his head, smiling a little as he does so. Halo heard the intrusion, but made no move to leave John. He wraps his arms around John's neck, sighing happily. He was glad to have John with him. There was no need to stress.
“Umm… Brennan… I think I found them…” John heard the voice say quietly, then he heard grumbling and Brennan say, “Just- Just keep everyone away from the medical tent for now.”
John nuzzled Halo, purring quietly, “We should really leave camp as soon as we can…”
Halo laughs softly at the conversation before looking down at John. "No kidding." He replies softly, laughing a little as he listens to them exit. He kisses John's nose before smiling at the other. "I can't wait."
John smiled at the kiss, smiled at them being together. He playfully stroked Halo’s wings again, then moving the put his head on Halo’s warm chest, “You’re soft… and warm…” John’s good wing curled around them, brushing up against Halo’s wing.
Halo relaxed, happy that they were reunited, they were together. He never wanted to leave John again. He kisses the other before starting when his wing is stroked. He was about to scold his lover but he halted when he saw John against his chest. He smiles and kisses his forehead, meeting his wing with the others.
John slowly drifted into a peaceful sleep with the rhythm of Halo’s breathing. His body relaxed, hair falling over his face. John just felt so safe, even after Ojag had attacked him. Halo was safe, he was always safe. John trusted him with everything.
Halo let him sleep, smiling at such a sweet sight. "I love you." He whispers, running a gentle hand through John's hair. "I won't ever let you get hurt. I promise I will keep you from harm." He mutters, kissing John's forehead. He stayed there with him, not willing to move an inch. He held his lover in a safe and protective grasp.
John slept dreamlessly and perfectly. He felt well rested when his eyes opened slowly hours later, his good wing shifting slightly to stretch as he yawned. John was too lazy to say open his mouth all the way and say good morning, rather, he just hummed, “Hmmm?”
Halo had fallen asleep as he held John. Soft breaths left his lips repeatedly, sighing quietly as he holds the other to his chest. It seemed almost like he was a statue, holding the love of his life. When John shifted, Halo barely reacted. The guardian obviously was exhausted. He had been on his toes for the past several days and if he could be able to carry his lover, he would have to be at top strength.
John smiled at Halo’s peaceful form, slowly shifting away to stand up. He leaned down to kiss Halo’s forehead, before pulling a blanket over his sleeping guardian. John’s cuts ached slightly, and his wing hurt, but he ignored it as he peaked his head out of the medical tent tiredly. A soldier stood at attention when he saw John. “Can you send you some breakfast for me?” He asked sleepily, and the soldier rushed off, and John went back to Halo’s side.
Halo shifts when he felt John move, letting out a quite pine of want. He opens one eye when John pulled the blanket over him, making him snuggle into the warmth. He lets out a quiet sigh, his dark wings fluttering a little bit. He looks at John when he returns to his side. "Snuggles?" He asks tiredly, reaching his arms out to the other as he yawns softly.
John smiled knowingly, crawling next the Halo and wrapping his arms around him. He stroked down Halo’s back, humming quietly, “I sent for breakfast for us.” He kissed Halo’s cheek softly, a little warmth appearing inside of him.
Halo smiles when the other joined him, instantly relaxing into his grip and enjoying his warmth. He snuggles him happily, kissing his cheek. "Thank you love." He whispers. He sighs happily and kisses his neck since that was the only place he could reach at the moment. He nuzzles into the other.
John smiled, nuzzling Halo back. He cuddled Halo tightly -yet still gently- as if he would disappear. I want to spend every moment with you… John kissed Halo’s forehead, then laughed lightly, “You should rest as long as you can, you’ve spent too much energy taking care of me.”
Halo smiled lazily as he's held by the other. "I don't regret taking care of you." He mumbles, kissing his forehead. "I love you, John, more than anything." He mutters. He relaxes in the others grip, sighing happily.
(Sorry I haven’t been on much, I’ve been really busy with personal issues lately)
John cuddled closer, closing his eyes and humming. He heard someone come in, and looked up to see the soldier bringing a tray of food. John smiled, “Can you set it right next to me? Thanks,” John leaned his head back down on Halo’s chest, not particularly caring what the guy thought of them as he closed his eyes, “Are you hungry?”
Halo listened to the other hum, smiling a little as he nuzzles into John's warmth. He gives a happy sigh as he relaxes, glad to be beside John, here, safe in each others arms. He looked up with lazy eyes when someone entered the tent, not minding that he was being held by the love of his life. He licks his lips at the sight of the food, his stomach growling with need and hunger. He smiles a little and relaxes into John's grasp, not willing to get up quite yet. "In a little while." He mutters, kissing John's cheek.
John smiled warmly at the kiss, but gave him a look after hearing his lover’s stomach grumble. John reached over and grabbed two pieces of bacon, holding one up for Halo while putting the other in his own mouth, “We can eat and snuggle at the same time.”
Halo sighs happily and looks at John with love and adoration. He looks at the bacon hovering in his face before slowly taking it into his mouth. He moans at the burst of flavor and instantly eats it, sighing in content now that he was being fed. "Sounds like a wonderful idea to me." He replies.
John grabbed a sausage and fed that to Halo too with a smile then murmured, “You’re cute when your sleepy…” John brushed a hand through Halo’s soft hair, kissing his cheek.

Halo smiles softly as he rests against the other, nuzzling into John happily. "I'm very happy at the moment." He replies, lazily kissing at John's neck. He sighs happily, shutting his eyes.

John just about melted when Halo kissed him like that, purring, “I’m happy too…” He ran his hand over Halo’s chest, angling his head so Halo could kiss him more. John quietly murmured, “The army is going to leave today, I think…”
Halo nods, smiling as he continues to kiss his neck gently. He hums in satisfaction, smiling as John seemed content with his soft kisses. He stops before muttering against John's skin. "Which means we make our leave today." He sighs.
“Do you think you’re strong enough?” John whispered, suddenly more concerned. He tried to shift his injured wing, but it ached and no doubt he would probably injure himself more if he tried to fly for the first time with it in that condition. John fingers tightened into a clenched fist around a blanket. I’m useless…
"I know I am." He mutters, looking up at John. "Don't move your wing baby. It's going to cause it to hurt more. Besides, you've lost some weight because your bones have become a bit more hollow." He mutters, taking his clenched hand in his own. "It's okay baby. I can carry you." He assures.
John intertwined his fingers with Halo’s, breathing him in as he held on tightly. Safe. He moved to tuck himself in his lover’s arms, humming in pleasure. “I trust you…” John whispered to him softly, snuggling closer.
Halo holds the other lovingly. He takes a quiet breath, smiling a little as John said that. "I'm glad, love." he whispers, kissing his forehead. He smiles a little, his eyes flashing blue.
