“Everything alright?” he asked.
She shifted. “It’s just hard to believe that, finally, I-” She cut herself off for a shaky breath. “Finally have you back. I feel like that at any moment, I’d wake up from some sort of fever dream and…” She paused. “You’d be gone.”
“Heh, got the same kind of fear over here. If this is a dream I think i’ve finally gone insane…” His voice seemed to trail off towards the end of the sentence. “Let’s not dwell on that, we’re here and things can only get better.”
She looked at him again and back at the floor for a second time. “…Yeah…” She trailed off.
Torin walked over to her “Hey, look at me, everything can only get better.” he pulled up another chair to face her.
She looked to the side of him. “I know… It’s not that…” She trailed off again. Damn, Connie, why must you be so awkward? “….I just wanna… hug you again…”
He chuckled a little and stood up “if you want another hug, go ahead.” he gave a sweet smile.
She got up and wrapped her arms around him. “I just want to hold you incase you disappear, if that makes any sense. I want to have these to remember….” She mumbled.
He hugged her a little tighter “I’m not going anywhere, i can promise you that.”
“Okay.” She mumbled and pressed her face into his chest gently. “You’re so warm…” She purred.
He began to hum and loosened his grip a little. “I can make a joke about my name but I don’t want to ruin the moment.” he pressed his forehead on the top of her head.
“You dont ruin moments, you make them.” She whispered, her eyes gently closed. “Anyway, i’m sorry but there’s something I want to do.” In one swift motion she moved her forehead and pressed her lips to his. Bringing her arms up, she curled her fingers in his hair, running them through the soft but still damp curls.
He was a bit surprised but didn’t bother fighting it. He stood there, barely pressing back against her. He soon snapped out of it and dropped his arms around her hips, pulling her into the kiss, pressing his eyes shut.
She couldn't get enough of him, pulling him closer to her, seemingly bending into him and his warm embrace. Twisting her fingers gently in his brown curls. It was a fantasy come true for her. The chair behind them tumbled over and clattered on the floor, causing a noticeable ruckus, but neither of them cared.
Holding her in his arms, pressing against her, he took it all in. Moving his lips against hers gently, causing her to push back at him hungrily.
Pulling apart for air, Connie’s face was dusted with crimson, hiding her faint array of freckles; her eyes which were once glossy became clear and she covered her face with her hand to hide the growing heat spreading across her face.
He opened his eyes and gave a sly smile. “Awwww, ending so soon?”
“Forking hell, Torin.” She growled through her hand. “You’re gonna make me lose my mind.”
He chuckled “I’m just messin’ with ya, that was nice though.”
“Messing with me, oi?” She grabbed his shirt collar and pulled him down. She smashed her lips to his again, more forceful than last time but good feeling nonetheless.
He didn’t mind, he was havin’ fun. He hummed while gently trying to free his shirt collar.
She let go of his collar, noticing his struggle with it. Damn this forking boy is gonna push me over the edge… one day i swear…. She pulled her lips from his reluctantly.
“Alright, I’ll try to stay on your good side I guess.” He scratched the back of his neck.
“Both of my sides are good.” She looked into his brown eyes, her eyes furrowed in a soft glare. “One just isn’t as timid when making out.”
