(Honestly that's a mood)
Cameron glanced down at his clothes. "Yeah, they fit fine." He grinned.

Cameron glanced down at his clothes. "Yeah, they fit fine." He grinned.
(Seriously, I thought it was tomorrow afternoon and that I slept through work… Like, how did I think that, brain???)
"Awesome…" Lilah trailed off with a small smile as they reached the kitchen. She carefully pushed a door open and let Cameron inside.
Cameron slipped inside and gazed around. He liked her castle’s kitchens, they were large, spacious and clean. It made him feel safe, somewhat, considering he’s only been in there two times.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite princess!" Noah exclaimed, walking over to the pair when he noticed them come into the kitchen. He bowed a little, then straightened and looked at the couple. "And she brought her friend, too. Prince Cameron, right?"
Cameron nodded his head a little, feeling a slight distinct awkwardness at ‘friend’. “And you’re Noah.” He grinned.
"Oh, you remembered! Pleasure to see you again, your highness," the baker said with a respectful nod. "Is there something I can help you two with?"
"Oh, Cameron was just hungry, so we were wondering if there was any food he could have," Lilah explained.
"Ah, I see… Yes, there should be something. Give me just one moment, please," he said with a smile before turning away to find food.
Cameron nodded back and resisted the urge to rub his nose. He felt exeptionally awkward when someone called him “Your highness”. He didn’t really fancy the phrase, Cameron is a good name for him, since it meets his personality quite well.
(Did you know that Cameron means "crooked nose"?)
"You okay over there?" Lilah asked, turning to face him.
(Yep! Or Crooked River, which, cannonically, makes more sense. When I think of my OC Cameron, he is a psycopathic Water Elementalist, someone who can control water. I accidentally named him Cameron just because I liked the name! Now it has meaning!
Sorry about that. I get very excited when someone mentions Cameron’s name.)
Cameron glanced at her. “Yep, I’m alright.” He grinned. “Are you okay?”
(Lol. It's all good. It's what we do as writers.)
"Yeah, I'm fine," Lilah said with a shrug.
(I was very happy with the coincidence. Just like… it literally makes me smile, whyyy… anyway!)
Cameron gave her a concerned look and turned to her. “Are you sure?”
(Lol.)
"Mmhm. Yeah. I'm fine," Lilah repeated herself.
Noah came back at that moment with a plate of food, and Lilah turned to him with a grin.
"Thanks, Noah. I appreciate it," she told him as she took the plate for Cameron.
"My pleasure, Crown Princess. It's steak and potatoes, so I hope you like it, Prince Cameron," he said with a nod in Cameron's direction.
Cameron grabbed for the plate then looked at Noah. “Thank you! Feel free to call me Cameron.”
Please call me Cameron.
Noah opened his mouth to say something, then must have thought better of it. "Of course, your– Cameron. Of course, Cameron."
Cameron raised an eyebrow at Noah’s fish-like gaping. “Is there a problem?” He didn’t want to offend the cook.
"No, not at all. I'm just not used to calling royalty by their first names," Noah said with an awkward chuckle.
Cameron shrugged. “I think it’s just too formal, especially for a prince like myself.” He gave a humorless grin, thinking of his family.
Noah nodded thoughtfully. "Well. I'll let you two get back to your board games or whatever," he joked, turning to leave.
"Bye, Noah. Thanks again for the food," Lilah called after him.
Cameron turned to leave the kitchen, glancing back at Noah over his shoulder.
“Yeah, thanks, Noah.”
"My pleasure," the baker said with one last bow.
"All right… Back to my room, then?" Lilah wondered.
Cameron looked at her. “Yep! Back to your room.”
Lilah nodded affirmation and led the way back to her room.
"I hope Noah remembered to eat that up for you," she said, half joking.
“Heat it up?” Cameron asked. “It feels pretty hot.” He grinned at her as they walked.
(Stupid autocorrect…
You know what I meant.)
"Good. Not too simple of a meal for you, I hope," Lilah said, almost teasingly.
(Yes I did, thankfully.)
“Oh no, it looks much too fancy,” Cameron said deeply royal, waving a hand.
(In answer to your username: upside down shepherds pie made by my mom.)
"Oh, I guess we'll just have to send it back to the kitchens, then," Lilah sighed dramatically. "Or maybe I'll just eat it for you."
(xD It’s a vine, bro bro)
Cameron chuckled. “No, it’s great. More than what I was expecting, actually.”
(…I live under a rock, okay???)
"Really? What were you expecting, then?" Lilah asked.
(Das okay xD I can send you the link for it if you want)
“Like, a PB&J.” Cameron tilted his head. “I don’t have high standards, yet I get stuff better than what I expect.”
(Sure. I might not be able to watch it for a while, though.)
Lilah chuckled. "Well, you're a prince who asked for food. They may have given you leftovers, but they wouldn't dream of giving you less."
