Lilah continued to organize the books. She was about halfway done with the task and it was going pretty well.
(sHE DOES, THEY'RE A CLOSET, THOUGH. Lol. :P)
Lilah continued to organize the books. She was about halfway done with the task and it was going pretty well.
Cameron sat down on the toilet. Do I just air dry? No, that’s bad for my skin. Da**it…
Lilah finished her task and stopped humming for a moment as she admired her work. With the silence, she noticed the water had stopped running and there were no sounds coming from the bathroom. She frowned, confused, and walked to the door.
She knocked before calling, "Cam? Everything going okay?"
Cameron glanced up. “Oh-yep, everything’s alright. Kinda cold though.”
"The water was cold? Or the bathroom is?" Lilah questioned, wondering why either would be.
“The bathroom,” Cameron answered idly, picking up the pair of pants Liam gave him and studied them.
"Weird… Did you turn the heat on in there?" Lilah asked, leaning against the wall beside the door.
Cameron raised an eyebrow. “What? In the shower? No, I used more of a cooler temperature of water.”
"No, in the bathroom. There's a nob to turn on the heated floors and another for the room temperature," Lilah called through the door.
Cameron cocked an eyebrow. “No, I just wanted a towel.” He couldn’t help a slight grin.
"Oh… Oh, crap, sorry. I forgot to tell you where they were, didn't I? Dangit. There's a closet door across from the sink. They're in there," Lilah directed him.
Cameron gave a gentle laugh. “It’s no biggie!” He walked over and opened up the closet, taking a few towels.
"Well, if you've just been sitting there, cold and wet, then I'm sorry…" Lilah murmured with a shrug, though she knew he couldn't see her.
Cameron dried himself off. “That’s alright. It was an honest mistake.”
"Hm…" Lilah hummed in agreement. She walked back to her bed and sat down on the edge again, picking a book up from her nightstand to read.
Cameron threw on the clothes, floofed up his hair and walked out of the bathroom.
“Well, that was refreshing. Thank you.”
Lilah looked up with a small smile.
"Sure, no problem. You hungry at all? Since you didn't eat anything on our picnic."
Cameron met her gaze with a slight grin. “I’m starving!”
(I just took ten minutes to write a very brief description of a wedding procession…)
Lilah chuckled. "Let's go see what we can find in the kitchen, then."
(Not bad)
Cameron perked up. “Alright. We going now?”
(clicks tongue It was okay…)
"Yeah, why not," Lilah said, setting her book down as she stood.
(Still, ten minutes)
Cameron put his hands in the pockets of the pants and hovered near the door, waiting for her.
(Eckh.)
"Let's go," Lilah said with a small smile as she stepped out of her room and into the hall.
(Meow. https://pin.it/vfgelfjhkucv4d )
(Meow? Sorry I can’t see the pic!)
Cameron was on her heels when they walked out. He gently shut the door and looked around.
(Oof, darn. Lol. It's about cats.)
Lilah started toward the kitchen, walking in silence. She was confused about the days earlier events and couldn't stop thinking about them. They just went around and around in her mind.
(xD)
Cameron moved his shoulders back uneasily at the silence. The way it stretched made him nervous, and feel he did something wrong. He rubbed his nose upon a wary instinct and habit.
Lilah saw the movement out of the corner of her eye and silently sighed through her nose.
"So… Was your shower good?" she asked, just trying to make conversation.
Cameron slapped his hand back down to his side. “Yeah. It was great, thanks.”
(Dude, I fell asleep and woke up thinking it was tomorrow… I was so confused.)
"Good, I'm glad," Lilah said, nodding slowly. "The clothes fit okay?"
