“Where did he get this stuff?” Elise asked, grabbing for the snacks.

“He can shift easily in and out to the Human realm.” Havenwood tugged out some meat.

“Sheesh. I’ll have to get him a shopping list.”

Havenwood laughed gently. “You should.”

"Hmmmmmmm." Elise gasps. "Do you, perchance, know what the internet is?"

Havenwood rolled his eyes. “Yes I do. The internet doesn’t work up here.”

"That's because you don't have a sonar disk." Elise shrugged as if it was simple. "We're getting one."

Havemwood shook his head. “No, it’s because there’s too much magic everywhere to have one. We don’t need it.”

"You don't need it…" Elise turned to face him. "But that doesn't mean I don't want it."

“It’s a want, not a must. You can survive.”

"Fine." She huffed, and turned back to the food.

Havenwood rolled his eyes. “Anyway you have Theli and I. You don’t need internet.”

"That's true. Both of you are so very distracting."

Havenwood chuckled. “That’s the spirit.”

Elise giggled and shook her head, smiling.

Havenwood slapped a pan down on the stove, humming. “Now, what do you want?”

"This. Haven't had 'em in ages." Elise held up a couple bags of Doritos.

Havenwood snatched the chips. “Have some dinner first.”

"Fine, love." Elise rolled her eyes, smiling.

Havenwood huffed. "What do you want?"

"Whatever you've got." Elise shrugged.

“We’ve got a lot of stuff. Chose.”

Elise smiled and shook her head, taking her weight off of the counter. "The get something different, then. Surprise me."

Havenwood huffed at her, shaking his head. “That answer is unacceptable.”
