Ellisa stepped out of the bus holding herself and trying not to cry

"I-I-I d-don't th-think that I can d-d-do this,"

"Lucas, I-I can't do this,"

"Yes you can…" Karina whispers.

"N-No, I c-can't" she covered her face with her hands

Karina hugs her tightly

Ellisa cries onto Karina's shoulder

her whole body is trembling

Karina hugs Ellisa tightly, comforting her.

"You got this Ellisa!" Yuri encouraged her onward. She didn't want anyone backing out.

"I brought your favorite cookies!" Kane says from infront of them

Karina hisses at Kane.

"Karina, why? There cookies! How could you be mad!?" Yuri asked in surprise.

"They are chocolate chip cookies. I'm allergic to chocolate…" Karina whispers, looking down.

"Oohhh…" Yuri suddenly took her backpack off her shoulder and started digging through looking for a certain object desperately. "Here," she handed Karina a apple fritter doughnut that was contained in a small sandwhich bag, "I brought this and I don't want it anymore. So you can have it." Yuri smiled innocently.

"It's yours. I can't take it." Karina states. She knew she promised to not bottle up her feelings, but that seemed impossible.

"It's yours now, you can take it," Yuri realized that Karina wasn't going to take it so she unzipped Karina's bag, put the apple fritter in her bag and zipped it back up, "It's there for when you want it."

"Alright who's ready to get this show on the road?" Yuri turned to the haunted house with determination.

"Hey…" Karina whisper.s

"What?" Lucas glanced over at Karina. He'd been silent up until this point, gathering himself so he'd be at least partially prepared for this likely dangerous experience.

"Nothing…" Karina hated this. Usually she was kind, but today she just wasn't goving a shit. It also might be because of how she was spending her birthday.

Yuri started walking towards the house and turned back around, "You guys coming?"

Lucas jumped a bit when Yuri called out. "Y-Yep! Coming…" He cringed at his own clearly fake confidence and walked on.

"No, need to worry, just some ghosts, spirits, and monsters…but no worries." Yuri giggled mischievously.

"Are… are they dangerous?" Lucas asked nervously, adjusting the strap of his backpack.

"Y-Ya, are they?" Ellisa added

"If you call, possessing people, or tearing out your insides for food, dangerous then yes," Yuri described this in an eerie tone.

Ellisa hurried behind Kane whimpering a little
