(Wow, I couldn’t imagine waking up that early. I mean… sometimes I’m up till 2 am but eh)
“Yeah, seeya.” Liam gave a little wave and headed to the tree he was sitting at before.
(I have to get up early for school and i usually end up falling asleep around 9:30 here)
Keri jogged back to her house and slowly opened the door, hoping to avoid talking to her mom, she creeped up the hallway to her room and slowly shut the door. Keri flopped on her bed and started daydreaming and eventually fell asleep.
(Haha)
Kate was startled and turned to Liam, "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't uh see you there…" She rubbed her elbow and her face turned red from embarrassment.
“Don’t worry about it, I’m Liam, nice to meet you Miss…” He trailed off, cocking his head to the side in asking of the girls name.
"Kate, and it's nice to meet you too Liam." Kate gave her shaky hand out for a handshake.
“You’re shaking. I hope I’m not that scary.” Liam said, shaking Kate’s hand gently.
"Oh! You're not scary at all, I'm just a nervous wreck all the time…" Kate said while looking down at the floor.
Liam stood and looked down at Kate, “Alright. I was just making sure as I’ve been told I can be quite… scary looking sometimes.” He said, giving a small smile.
Kate looked up at Liam and her squinted her eyes, "Well those people must be nuts because you don't look scary at all." Kate said smiling.
"Thanks, you're one of the firsts to not think that." Liam said, rubbing at his neck.
Kate crossed her arms, "Seriously, those people are wack to think that, you're such a nice guy."
Liam frowned a little, "You've known me for a whole five minutes, Kate."
Kate chuckled, "I know, but you seem like a really cool dude. Aw come on, turn that frown upside down!"
Liam shook his head, "Frowns are my thing. I'm not a very happy dude in all honesty."
"Well that sounds depressing… but I'm gonna change that!" Kate said with a positive attitude.
Liam rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow, "And how, exactly, are you going to do that?"
"Hmmm…" Kate tried thinking of an idea to make Liam smile. "I'll show you funny pictures on my phone!" Kate took out her phone and looked through her gallery to find funny photos.
"Kate," Liam gently lowered her phone, "It's not going to work. If it did then I'd be on my phone all day."
Kate frowned, "Aw come on, I wanna show you at least one funny photo… please?"
Liam sighed, "Fine. One photo it is then."
Kate was scrolling down her gallery and then she finally found the funny picture. It was a grumpy cat meme and she showed Liam giggling at the meme.
A smile tugged at the corners of Liam's lips but he didn't laugh, "He reminded me of myself… is that bad?"
Kate continued giggling when she heard Liam, "Nope, I honestly can relate to the grumpy cat too." Kate snorts out loud and she instantly covers her mouth, "Gosh, that was embarrassing…"
Liam's smile grew, "Don't worry about it, there are far worse things out there…" He said.
Kate nods, "Agreed, wait a second…" Kate raised her eyebrows when she saw Liam's smile grow, "You're actually smiling! Mission accomplished!"
"No. No, no. I'm not." Liam said, shaking his head to hide it from Kate.
Kate rolled her eyes and folded her arms, "Nu-uh liar, I saw you smile with my own eyes!"
Liam put his hand over Kate's eyes, "Now you won't be able to see my smile at all." He said, his smile softening.
Kate giggled, "Aww… but I liked your smile, it was adorable."
