Aurelius reached down to undo the bandages on his leg. Dried blood had crusted up all around it, but the wound was nicely sealed off, no sign of infection there. He rolled up his pants leg so it was more exposed.

Quincy grabbed a handful of grass before transmuting it into water. She used it to wipe the blood away. She studied the leg, "This one seems fine. What about the other one?"
"Still hurts like hell," he admitted, running a hand through his hair.
Nox laughed- not because it was funny, but more at the fact that he usually tried to hide pain, but now he wasn't even bothering.
Quincy nodded and side glanced at Nox, "We need to rebandage it and clean it up anyway."
Riven and Mara had woken up early and went out to get water and food for everyone. Are we even going to find anything out here? Riven was tired and not in the mood for looking for food. Although he was hungry and everyone else was as well, and since they are both uninjured they had to help out. "Yes Riven, there has to be something out here."
“Uh… yeah, sure,” Aurelius muttered, turning himself so his arm faced Quincy.
He took a deep breath.
Mara and Riven came back with two buckets of fresh water and a boar. Mara was carrying the water while the boar laid on Rivens back. "Hey guys, we got food."
Quincy carefully unwound the bandages. The wound was still covered in blood a little still oozing out. She grabbed a handful,of grass again to make into water again to clean the wound off.
Aurelius winced a little bit but then perked up at the mention of food. He tried to stay as still as possible, but he did clench his fists as Quincy cleaned the wound.
Quincy applied more paste, "Sorry about the pain," she then wrapped the wound up again with fresh bandages.
"It's okay," he muttered, "Fair punishment for being stupid, I'd say. Thanks for you know… helping me not bleed to death."
Aurelius tried to smile, but it was a little more of a grimace, because not only was he in pain from the wound, but also bruises surrounding it.
Quincy gave him a slight grin seeing he was attempting to smile. She finished up and sat back, "Your welcome. I'm just doing my job."
"You do it well at least," Aurelius said, "Saving lives isn't anything to sneeze at. I started panicking a little bit. Something at the back of my mind kept telling me I was going to die. Whether or not it was a likely outcome, I'm not sure."
“It wasn’t a likely outcome as long as that wound stayed clean and you didn’t bleed out. Neither which have happened,” Quincy said walking back over to Jade, “I’ve worked hard to learn healing. I’m glad it’s being put to good use.”
“Yeah, for sure. Especially after so much peace time… a lot of people living in our village haven’t even seen a wound like that before. Even healers were more often trained for curing illness,” Aurelius replied, finally going to stand. He used Nox as a support, and it was a good thing he did; he nearly fell between his leg being stiff and still being woozy from losing so much blood.
Quincy almost pushed him back down. She sauntered back to him, “Sit. You’re clearly not ready to move yet. The only reason I know this stuff is because…” I’ve caused injuries like these before “Is because I’m just a clutz.”
(Lollll What the heck. My phone autocorrected living to libeling in the last post.)
Aurelius flopped down over Nox.
“Yeah, I can see that now… I’ll lie down a bit longer, maybe eat and drink something. I’ll be fine.”
(Yeah I saw that lol. I’m going to sleep cause school and shtuff. Night!)
Quincy gave a quick nod, “Great plan. See that you don’t break it.”
Mara and Riven put down the water and boar. "Would you rather me skin this somewhere else? There will be a lot of blood." Mara thought with Aurelius being injured that the sight of blood may make him uneasy or sick. She was just glad she could put some of her skills to use and not be a total burden.
(I'm going to bed night.)
Arioch and Zuriel groan in pain "oooooow" oh shut up you weren't the one who got glanced by a ballista shot. he looked up to her "sorry Zuri… I'll try to keep you safer." there is only so much you can do "and I'm going to do everything I can to keep you safe."
“It doesn’t matter,” Aurelius replied, “Whatever gets us out of here faster, yeah?”
Mara decided that maybe moving away would be better for skinning an animal. With the blood and everything else, she wouldn't want people to lose their appetite. She only skinned half and just cut off a good portion of the meat and rinsed it off with some of the water they brought. "Does someone want to start a fire for me?"
Nox walked over to Mara. I can do that. Where do you want it?
"Anywhere, as long as we can cook this meat and eat it." Mara brought it over to Nox and let her do her thing.
Nox carfeully scraped leaves and sticks into a pile using her front claws and lit up a small area. The flames changed from blue to a softer hue of orange as she left them.
Mara cut up pieces and found some good sticks to put them on. "Just let them cook for a bit and then it will be ready." She looked back at the boar it was a decent size. "You dragons can have the rest, although I'm not sure if it will be enough, sorry I should have brought more back."
It's fine, Mara. We're traveling. Besides, dragons can go considerably longer without food than humans, Nox said.
She tore a single leg off the remainder of the boar and left the rest for the other dragons.
Riven did the same, he was smaller than the other dragons so he didn't need as much. When the meat was done, Mara went around and handed it out to every one. "Here Aurelius, you'll need your strangth and energy." She turned to Arioch, "You too."
Aurelius thanked Mara and hungrily started to eat the boar meat. He hadn't even realized how hungry he was. Once he was done, he got up and tried walking a little more, with the help of Nox. However, after maybe thirty seconds, he gave up and sat down again.
"Sorry I'm not much help." Even if she could hunt, that was all she was good at, she couldn't even fight properly. I guess I could learn thing fast as well, but that won't help much. Mara sat in the grass and ate her own meat.
