Riverpaw yipped and jumped away from the stream. She shook off the small amount of water that reached her and looked worriedly at the big wolf, glancing at the feline every so often. "Um, a-are you okay?"

“Yeah, I’m fine, but… who are you?” I turned to the fluffy cat with a slightly suspicious expression.

Lia's fur stood on end as the wolf addressed her, she turned to face them, "Lia, and you." She tried to appear casual, like she wasn't repulsed by these canine creatures.

“I’m Sofie, and this is… um, what’s your name?” I laughed nervously. This was not my best impression, but then again: I wasn’t very good at introducing myself. I didn’t do it very often for fear of those who sought out my power.

Riverpaw looked bewteen the cat and Sofie for a moment before taking a step back. "Oh, m-me? I, uh…Riverpaw." She shuffled on her paws a little.

Lia fluffed her tail and, after deciding that these wolves were not hostile, pranced gracefully towards them. Lia couldn't let go of an opportunity to show off, that and, the wolves seemed as out of place as she was. She stopped a safe three feet away and settled down her tail curled artfully around her front paws, "You smell new to this place, neither of you feel like you belong here, care to tell the story?"

I shuffled my paws nervously. Surely this little ball of fur can’t be that dangerous, I thought, my cheeks flushing. “Um, well I woke up with a headache… honestly I don’t know where I am.”

Riverpaw nodded in agreement. "M-me too. All I remember is- is going to sleep next to my big sister and then…w-waking up under a tree back that way." Her tail flicked towards the trees that led back into the forest.

Sofie looked at Riverpaw in envy. She had wished for part of her life for siblings, but she was an only child. After living with a friend for a while, though, she had pushed the feeling away. She was an only child and would only ever be one… It was curious that the two canines had woken up under a tree.
