"Well, I don't need anything either."
"Well, I don't need anything either."
“But I have so much to give,”
"And I'll take it, I'm not turning you down or away," A sense of independence, that's all.
“Sorry. I guess I’ve always felt like I needed to protect you. From the beginning of this relationship that’s what I’ve had to do and the roles changed with the cancer stuff. You protected me and I’m just, adjusting I guess,”
"I understand, just remember I can take care of myself. Most of the time. As long as it's nothing supernatural."
“I know I just don’t want you hurt. We protect each other. I get that now but it’s just, I’ve just never had some on to protect me,”
Lillian laughed, "Well you do now."
“Aparantly,” he smiled.
"Apparently," Lillian smiled back.
He tapped her arm, “Tag you’re it!”
Lillian tapped his arm back, "No you're it."
“Hey!” He squealed and tickled her knee. “Whos it?”
Lillian let out a loud burst of laughter. She put a hand in his hair, "You're it."
He rolled on top of her and tickled her sides, “No! You’re it!”
Lillian was laughing like a child as her hands got instinctively pulled up against her body.
He laughed and kissed her nose. “You’re definitely it,”
Lillian giggled as she mock groaned, “Fine I’m it.”
“Woah,” he stopped moving everything and pouted.
Lillian raised an eyebrow as her started to speed up, “What is it?”
“You stopped the game by simply accepting that you’re it?”
Lillian laughed, “Fine you’re it then.”
He smiled and pecked her lips before laying his head down on her shoulder and burying his face away in her neck.
Lillian felt her heartbeat start to speed up. She wrapped her arms around Darren’s back.
He chuckled. “I can feel your heart. Did you run a marathon without me?”
“No,” Lillian was quick in her response, stupid neck.
“Feels like you did,” he readjusted and laid his head back down. Nuzzling against her neck.
Lillian didn’t deny the shiver down her spine. She moved and nuzzled her noce against his neck.
“I think there a pool here,” he mumbled into her neck.
“A pool? Sounds fun,” Lillian felt another shiver run down.
This time he noticed and grinned. “And free food so… there’s that too,”
