Lilac flicked her tongue out to lick the puppy's nose, then proceeded to act as if it never happened.
"You're such a dork, Lilac," Lilah laughed.
Lilac flicked her tongue out to lick the puppy's nose, then proceeded to act as if it never happened.
"You're such a dork, Lilac," Lilah laughed.
Cameron laughed. “Why did she do that?”
Lily hopped onto her paws, borking.
"I have no idea! She dies that to me all the time, and I've never been able to figure out a pattern," Lilah giggled.
Cameron laughed. “You have one crazy dog!”
Lily hopped onto Lilac’s head happily. She was so smol it worked.
Lilac barked in surprise and tried to shake the puppy off her head.
"I think we both do," Lilah chuckled.
Cameron chuckled. “We do, huh.”
Lily borked and jumped off of the older dog.
"At least they're entertaining," Lilah said with a smile. She looked up at the sound of tires crunching across gravel and saw that the car had arrived. This time, it was something simpler, a silver Mustang with black racing stripes.
"Yes! This is my favorite car," Lilah exclaimed, standing.
Cameron plucked up the puppy and rose. “Fancy. Sleek. The new Mustang.” Cameron laughed.
"Hey, don't judge my taste in cars. Just because I'm a princess doesn't mean I can't appreciate a nice car," Lilah said defensively as she walked toward the door the driver held open.
Cameron chuckled and ducked into the back. “I wasn’t saying you didn’t have good car taste just because you’re a princess.”
"I meant don't laugh at me for liking a generally-male-oriented car," Lilah sighed as Lilac stuck her head in her lap again.
“I’m not laughing at you. I respect that you have taste.” He grinned.
"Well, good," Lilah said with a nod. "If you didn't like my taste, I would question why you like me."
Cameron shrugged. “Why wouldn’t I like you? Your tastes are very different and I appreciate that.”
(Wattpad can be very distracting…)
Lilah simply hummed in response, resting her head on his shoulder. In a few moments, they arrived at the lake, and the driver opened the door for them.
Cameron wrapped his arm around her shoulder happily. He felt the moment was much too short before they got out. He took her hand and Lily’s leash and got out of the car.
Lilah thanked the driver as she got out, pulling Lilac along with her.
The lake stretched out before them with trees lining it on every side. The sun glittered off the surface, creating a dazzling view.
Cameron gazed at it happily, beaming. Lily wiggled happily and started bouncing around Lilac’s paws.
"Welcome to Lake Lasota!" Lilah said, waving the hand that held Lilac's leash towards the lake. "It was named after my great-great-great-or-something-grandfather, Kline Lasota."
“It’s so beautiful!” Cameron couldn’t help exclaiming happily.
"Isn't it? I like to come here on my own every once in a while, just to walk around or sit or swim," Lilah told him softly.
Cameron was itching to walk down. He glanced at her and shifted his hand in hers. “Let’s go,” He stuggled to contain his excitement.
"Impatient, much?" Lilah laughed as they walked down to the edge of the deep blue water.
“I’m just excited!” Cameron defended himself happily.
"Which adds to your impatience to be by the lake," Lilah said, her voice still tinted with laughter.
Cameron blew a raspberry. “I just like lakes, okay?”
"Hey, I'm just teasing you," Lilah clarified, turning to smile at him. "I think it's cute how excited you are."
Cameron paused in front of her, grinning. “Really? You think I’m cute?”
"Well, I mean, yeah… Wasn't that obvious?" Lilah asked, tilting her head to the side. Lilac looked up at the pair, mimicking her owner's head tilt.
Cameron noticed Lilac with a laugh. “No, not exactly, but I don’t really think of myself as cute…”
