Jasper sighed he liked choosing his bed. he slowly walked to his bed with his head down "Very well" he said dissapointed.
Jessica walked over to her bunk feeling very excited about it the exact oppisite of Jasper. Jessica climbed up the ladder to her bunk and flopped down on it "Feels Just like home" Jessica said.
"Do you need some help setting up?" Annika asked her new bunkmate.
Otis kept writing.
(sorry about Otis doing the one-liners and stuff.)
"Oh no thanks " Jessica said with the sweetst smile.
Once jasper was on his bed he slowly began to fall asleep.
"Alright, campers! We're gonna play a get-to-know you game! Find your bunkmate and talk to them. Tell tham about yourself. Get to know one another. 10 minutes, go!" Kaleb, the camp director said over the loudspeaker.
Annika hoisted herself up onto her bunk, and said, "Uh, hi! How are you?"
Otis sat and waited for his bunkmate.
Jessica smiled and hung off the side of her bunk " Fine how about you" Jessica giggled.
Jasper mumbled something about stupid games.Jasper sat up and looked at Ottis. "How do you like camp" Jasper asked.
"Good. First year, huh?" she replied.
Otis never knew how to respond to those 'how do you like _____' questions, so he just said "It-it's pretty fun. H-h-h-um..You?"
Jessica smiled "Thats good" she said not sure what elese to say.
Jasper sighed "I didn't really wanna come here".
"It's my tenth year. Is it your first?" she asked, trying to clarify the question.
"O-oh." Otis said, not really disappointed, just unsure of what to say. "So, um…what-what do you like to do?" he asked quietly.
Jessica's smiled remained on her face "yep" she responded
"Write" Jasper said plainly and layed back down on his bed.
"Cool. So, what do you think so far?" Annika asked.
"O-okay…c-cool…" Otis said, seeing that the boy wasn't interested, so he didn't mention that he liked writing,too.
Jessica sighed "I mean I miss my dad but other than that It's great".
Jasper felt bad and sat back up not sure what to say.
"Oh, bummer." Annika said empathetically as she straightened herself from her slouch. "So, what do you like to do?" she asked.
"Is-is it your first year?" Otis asked.
"OH !" Jessica said excitedly "I play piano" she said with a smile. she was quite proud of her acomlpishments.
"Yeah it's my first year jasper said"
"Nice. I play guitar," Annika said, pulling out an acoustic guitar in a case from under her bed. She began to take it out of the case as she asked, "So, do you sing, too?"
"Yeah" Jessica said "I love singing and I also write songs" Jessica said excitedly jumping up and down with glee. You could tell by the gleamin her eye.
"Great! SO, what kind of songs do you like?" Annika asked, tuning her guitar.
"Hm." Otis said, not sure what to say.

" Oh I don't really know I mean I love all kinds of songs" Jessica said.
Jasper said something he would never say in front of his cousin " Is there any cute girls who caught your eye" he asked.
Otis felt kinda awkward. "Um..no, not-not really…uh..you?" he asked.
"Cool! Well, do you wanna sing together or somethin'?" Annika asked.
"Nope" Jasper said making his message crystal clear.
"Okay…." Otis replied, feeling awkward.
Jasper slowly layed back down feeling akward.
Otis breathed deeply. "Um…what kinds of movies do you watch?" he asked, wanted to kill the silence.
"Movies are stupid so I don't watch them" Jasper said simply.
"Oh." Otis said.
"Alright, campers! It's time to get ready to swim, so put on a bathing suit!" the counselors of both cabins said. Annika went and put on a blue tie-dye style tankini, and Otis put on red swim shorts and a white swim top with a light green stripe down both sides.
Jasper closed his eyes and quickly put on blue swimming trunks that had a blue tie in the front. Jessica sighed and put on a purple bikini with a white cover up she didn't want to go swimming she hated water one of the many things she was scared of.
The campers headed out to the pool once everyone had their swimsuits and towels. They had to take a swimming test, so Annika and Otis lined up.
Jessica didn't get in line she stayed towards the back away from everyone. She hated water if they made her get in the water she was going to cry.
“Honey? You need to take the swim test.” the lifeguard said, noticing Jessica was lingering back. Annika jumped in and swam across and completed the test.
