“Still better than your puns” Nyx smiled and patted Chase’s shoulder.

Chase gasped in horror.
"You don't mean that," he said, feigning a betrayed look. "I'm way better at puns than this… human here."

"You just overuse them, they are not that bad."

(Say that Sora went to her room or something)
Coming down the stairs from the upper level, Sora took a seat on the bottom step.
"Mmm, they're pretty bad, Avery," she disagreed teasingly.

"Hey, im trying to comfort him!" he says, walking over to Sora and lightly punches her shoulder.

Sora gives him a gentle push back. "Didn't let me finish. Yours are worse though," she finished with a laugh.

"I know, Angel gave me them." he says, laughing.

Chase fell silent for a second, resting his chin on the back of his hand. His eyebrows furrowed as he got lost in his thoughts.

Sora's grin shrank as Avery said this. She knew how hard his loss had been and still was.

Chase registered what Avery said, and flinched. He quickly reacted by placing his hand on his boyfriend's shoulder and giving it a slight squeeze.

Avery rested his head against Chase's shoulder and whispered. "Thanks."

"I'll go get you some tea," Chase murmured. "You wanna come?"

"Yeah." Avery seems to act happier when tea is mentioned. "Want to go steal some sweets?"
(Im sipping tea rn…)

Chase nodded with a grin.
"You know I'm always ready to steal some sweets."

"There's a new sweet shoppe on main!" He says happily, as he always does whenever sweets are mentioned.
