Brooklyn trembled, not wanting to be near these scary people any more. Of course, if she tried to run, they had threatened her with sharp objects.

Chase took a step back with a nervous laugh.
“Easy there, fellas,” he laughed nervously. “No need to puncture holes in me. Admit it, you’d miss me if something happened to me.”

“Fine, we would miss you.” She smiled and rolled her eyes.

"You want to bet?" Avery asks with an arched eyebrow and a tone that could be joking. its hard to tell with him.

Sora only grumbled. His puns were overly butchered, but it was Chase. He was a good soul. Turning her playful glare to Avery, she simply said two words. "Avery no," before chuckling.
(YES THAT OATH IS AWESOME)

Chase grinned again before he finally forced himself to get serious.
“Anyway, I’ll stop with the puns… for now,” he added under his breath. He turned to the kidnapped girl, who looked beyond terrified. “Don’t worry, we won’t hurt you,” he said softly. “Do you don’t have to be afraid. I’m sure it’s scary to be around people you don’t even know, with weapons of all things, but there’s nothing to be scared about.”

"Only Chases terrible puns." He said, a playfull twinkle in his eyes.

“They are not THAT terrible… Okay yes they are”

"That's actually a good reason to be afraid," Sora added, hugging her arms to her chest for emphasis.

Chase gasped in horror.
“You don’t mean that,” he exclaimed with mock hurt. “You love my puns, admit it. You smile every time I make one.”

"No, i smile every time one gets shut down." He says, popping a sweet nto his mouth.

Brooklyn highly doubted the man (Chase), she was pretty sure being kidnapped by scary people with sharp weapons was a perfectly good reason to be afraid. She liked him, though, puns were great.

At that, Sora burst out laughing. "Gods, Avery, that was perfect, aHA," she said between fits of laughter.

“Fine. You make one, and if i laugh, you get the pride, and ill agree that your puns aren’t horrible, but if i dont laugh, i get too.. Dump this cup of water on ya.”

Chase pouted.
“Your words are as sharp as your knife,” Chase sighed. “I’ll just pretend you guys appreciate my puns. They’re puntastic.”
When Nyx chimes in, Chase looked at her with wide eyes.
“You wouldn’t, Nyx…”
