There are three things most religions need.

  1. A Creation Myth: How was everything created according to this religion? The Earth, plants and animals, various magical atuff!
  2. An Afterlife: What happens after this life? How does it come about?
  3. An Endgame: Every religion fortells a revelation or doom for humankind and Earth!

Here are some other things common in religion!

  • Flood myths
  • Demons or unclean spirits
  • An antithesis to the main religious figure
  • A code pf morals and ethics

Also, keep in mind. Some religions don't have any figures pf worship. Despite the name, LaVeyan Satanism is an atheistic religion devoted entirely to self-love and Satan is only a mascot to them.
