Vera saw Tay walk out of the school and immediately changed routes, but it was too late. He’d already spotted her.

"Vera! Hey!" Tay jogged over to her. "Skipping school has consequences, y'know." he smiled.

Vera’s brain short-circuited. Crap. “Family emergency.”, was all she said, praying he believed her.

"Oh." Tay touched his shoulder, "I understand."

“What happened to your shoulder?”, she asked, against her good judgement.

(Brb)

"Nothing." Tay shoved his hand back into his pocket and managed a smile. "It's nothing."

Vera could tell it was definetly something, but said nothing. She swallowed. “As long as you’re okay.” She winced as the words came out. “I— I have to be somewhere in a few minutes, I— Sorry.”, she said hastily, scanning the crowd in case she saw Bridge.

"Well, until those few minutes, why don't you come with us?" Tay gestured towards Felix and Kamè

What do I do?!?!?!?! Vera thought frantically, frozen like a deer in headlights.

(I’ll add on more in a mo, I just need to know what Bridge would do if Vera went)

(Bridge would probably threaten Vera again, she doesn't actually have proof of the arcade incident, she's just trying to scare Vera, and Tay has already been accepted into 5 colleges, so he doesn't have to really worry, Bridge's just making Vera think that Tay's in a tight spot)

Before Vera could stop herself, she’d blurted out a ‘Sure!’.

Tay smiled, "Great!" and grabbed her hand, bringing her over to Felix and Kamè.

(I've describe Kamè, but not Felix, Felix Wolfe has pale blond hair, freckles, and glacier blue eyes)

Vera blushed as Tay took hold of her hand. She waved shyly to the other guys. “Sorry about lunch.”

Kamè smiled, "Lunch was great, you made it so much more interesting."
"I wish Marya were here." Felix muttered, staring at the ground.
"Ignore him, he's going through heartbreak. For now, let's eat!" Kamè winked and stole a glance at Tay, who was half-blushing.

Vera was also blushing, and anxious to get going before Bridge saw anything. “Aren’t we all..”, she muttered.

( aren’t we all going through a heartbreak is what she means btw)

Felix stared at the ground, his pale hair falling in front of his face. Kamè suddenly looped arms with Felix and bounded off with Felix in tow, screaming that Felix needed to get over it.
Tay stayed back with Vera and held her hand. "They're pretty crazy, huh?"

Vera blushed, trying not to look him in the eyes. The moment she got lost in them, it was over. “Yeah… You have good friends.” Except Bridge.

"Hahaha, yeah." Tay smiled at the screaming mess of Felix and Kamè.

Vera’s heart pounded as they walked. “I— I’m really sorry for my behaviour at lunch, I could see how much it hurt you.” She swallowed.

"It's all okay." Tay blew the hair from the front of his face.

(Awww)

Vera shook her head, still not looking him in the eyes. “No, it’s not. That was rude of me, incredibly rude. I’m sorry.”

“It's okay. ” Tay smiled.

(Arg O gtg now ):

Vera still wouldn’t meet his eye. “Is there any way I can repay you?”, she whispered.

“Be my girlfriend？“ Tay asked

(Oh sweet Jesus I can’t resist one more before I leave)

Vera froze in her traps, eyes widening. Her heart was pulsing with the burning desire to scream ‘Yes!’, but she held it down as strongly as she could. “I—you—I—You don’t want that.”, she stammered quickly.

“Yes I do.” Tay held Vera's hand and smiled at her.

Vera’s breaths were short and shallow as her eyes darted around, like those of a caged animal. Panicked, she brought a fist to her lips, pressing it there in an attempt to calm herself down. “I—“ She swallowed. “You have no idea how much I want to say yes.”, she whispered.
