“Night Pax.” She looked sadly back at M and a small smile towards Pax.

Pax grinned back a little too. “Goodnight, North.”
M didn’t respond.

She turned and went upstairs to her room. He can do what he wants, and face the consequences. She thought to herself as she laid down.

(sigh)
North yawned and rolled out of bed. She got dressed and went downstairs, not expecting M to be up.

(He sads)

M was indeed up. He was in the kitchen with his feet up on his chair and he was reading.

“Oh hey.” She walked into the kitchen, patting his head and grabbing an apple.

M grunted as his head was pat. His hair was soft and furly.

North sat down across from him. "I'm going to go find them today."

“You’re going alone?” M glanced haughtily up at her.

"Why shouldn't I?" She frowned.

“You might get hurt. Bring someone with you.”

North glared at him. “I can fight for myself M.”

“The city is dangerous. You don’t know where these guys are and you can’t teleport. Bring someone.”

“If you’re allowed to be stubborn, so am I.”

“Yes but you could get kidnapped, raped, then killed. You cannot be stubborn in the city. Bring. Someone.”

“Ok one, I can’t die. And two, I’ve lived in the city for all my life and I’m fine.”

“Yeah, but you can be kidnapped and raped, which will cripple you mentally. There’s no making sure you will be fine this time!”

“I will be okay!” She stood up and walked over to him. “I promise.”

M glared at her over the edge of his book. “Bring someone or don’t go at all.”

“I don’t have to do what you waant.” She turned away from him and pulled out Neo’s ring.

M sighed. “Don’t say I didn’t tell you so.”

“Ok. Bye. Love you. Don’t die.” She smiled and slipped the ring on.

M shook his head as she appeared in Neo’s library. The surprise was, Neo was in there, holding a green book- similar to the one M was holding so long ago.
