“Mmhm” He mumbled, kissing her back, stroking her hair softly.
“Mmhm” He mumbled, kissing her back, stroking her hair softly.
She gasped a little as he began stroking her hair. It felt really good…
Grayson chuckled softly and began kissing her neck slowly.
She gasped again, really it was a fluttery breath, and tilted her head away, allowing him sufficient room to move.
Grayson kissed her harder and faster, placing his other hand on the other side of her neck.
(Should someone else come in)
(😏)
(You’re planning it aren’t you 🤨)
(its not mine to plan. I don't know any of the mer people.)
She giggled. "Grayson…" she whispered his name, sighing blissfully.
Grayson pulled away and pressed his forehead to hers, gazing into her eyes. “I’m human Moxiey, won’t your people disapprove?”
"Love has no boundaries, Grayson. We're safe here."
"Moxiey, there you are! I saw you come in here and-"
Moxiey quickly turned to see another mermaid just entering the room. And she'd noticed Grayson.
"Is… Is that a… a human?" the new mermaid squeaked.
"Rose, let me explain…" she trailed off, realizing how stupid an explanation would sound.
Rose made her way back to the door of the room. "No, Rose! Wait!"
It was too late. Rose swam off furiously down the corridor.
Moxiey looked back at Grayson, tears clouding her beautiful golden brown eyes. "I'm sorry," she whispered.
"Don't be sorry, it's my fault." He said quietly, kissing her forehead and hugging her tightly. "I'm sorry Moxiey." He mumbled, his eyes wet.
"You have to get out of here. Before Rose comes back. Probably with my parents," Moxiey whispered.
"I-I love you. And i'll be on the beach waiting everyday for you."
"I know," she murmured, cupping his cheek with her hand. She never wanted to let him go.
“I don’t want to go. I don’t want to leave you..” He said quietly, desperately.
"You have to," she replied, heartbroken. She didn't want to be the one who had to say it.
He stepped away from her. “Go find Rose. I’ll wait.”
Moxiey nodded and swam through the halls until she crashed into Rose.
"Rose, we have to talk," Moxiey blurted quickly.
Rose crossed her arms. "What more do you have to say?" she said judgmentally.
Moxiey recoiled. Her best friend… "Listen, it's not-"
"What it looked like?" Rose finished, getting angry now. "So, you mean to tell me that you didn't bring a human down here, and you didn't make out with him like there was no tomorrow?"
Grayson leaned against the wall. what am I doing..this..I can’t…but I love her..
"Rose, I… I…" Moxiey was speechless. "I… thought that to you'd maybe understand."
Rose shook her head. "What is there for me to understand?"
"Please don't tell my parents," Moxiey begged.
Ride pursed he lips and crossed her thin arms over her chest. The mermaids were both extremely beautiful, but while Moxiey was more slender, Rose was more narrow.
"Get rid of him. And don't ever go back to the surface again."
"Rose… I can't…"
"I'm trying to protect you, Moxiey! Can't you see?!" Rose snapped, tears in her eyes. "I just want you to be safe. You're my best friend, Moxiey…"
Moxiey bit her lip. Desperation inside of her wanted to go back, to stay with Grayson. To simply be with him and lose herself.
"I'll try," she whispered. It hurt beyond belief to just say those two little words.
Grayson waited in silence, feeling hopeless.
Rose nodded quietly. "Good."
Moxiey hurried back to her love and dove helplessly into his arms, crying.
Grayson held her tightly, extremely worried. “What’s wrong?” He asked cautiously, nervous for the answer.
"Rose said that she wouldn't tell my parents about you as long as I never go to the surface again!" the mermaid cried in agony.
Grayson felt a tear slide down his face and he pulled Moxiey close to him. "Anything for you Moxiey, do what you have to."
"But I can't," she sobbed, throwing her arms around his neck. "I'll miss you too much."
"You'll have a life down here Moxiey, you deserve better." Grayson said, his voice cracking on the last word.
"I don't want a life down here. I want you," she cried.
