"oh… ooooooook?"
"oh… ooooooook?"
"It was strange. Then my sister's dead boyfriend came out of it!" He did confused movements with his hands. "I was bleeding to death."
"ok…" she kept listening "but obviously you survived."
"Yeah. Well maybe." He shrugged. "Honestly the whole experience was weird."
"i imagine so, what was the name of the… actually nevermind… want to go shoot something?" gotta get his mind off this… maybe shooting something will help.
"Name of what?" He asked, his head tilted slightly.
She sighed "the name of the… spirit that possessed you?"
"Ah…"
"Go on… tell her… and you're dead." He froze.
"I… don't remember… I'm sorry my memory is a little fuzzy." Tom scratched the back of his neck. I'm sorry Seraph.
she nodded with a slight 'hm' "well, thought as much. she stood up "want to go shoot something?" she held out a hand to help him up. that thing… i hope it's just visions, i don't want to see him with that thing in control…
"Uhm… sure…" He took her hand and pushed onto his feet.
She walked to the hunting section and pulled a shot gun out of the holder "huh… they have locking mechanisms… makes sense, don't want people going around with a loaded gun." she shocked the device keeping the trigger in place and it broke in two.
Tom looked on. "Hmm yeah… don't want people to get shot." He shrugged.
she handed the gun to tom and hopped over the counter grabbing some ammo boxes "they got a lovely selection of knives here…" she said looking at a few switch blades.
"Uhm…" Tom shifted the gun around awkwardly. What the hell do i do with this? Why did i agree with this? Why?
Seraph noticed how Tom held the gun "you can just set that down if you want." she motioned to the open counter space. she pulled out a few more boxes of ammo and began to stuff her jacket pockets with shells.
He set the gun down on the counter and reeled away from it, feeling uncomfortable and awkward. He started humming to hide his mood. He watched Seraph work with the ammo.
"alright so i have never actually fired a gun… so this is going to be interesting…." she took another shotgun and shocked the locking mechanism off it.
Oh shit neither of us know how to this! Tom internally panicked. "Y-yeah." Sayyyyyyy somethinggggg usefuuuuul. He just stood and watched.
she jumped over the counter and loaded both guns "now we just need targets… and practice…."
"Y-yeah…" He shifted, sweat trickled down his face. Where's Bryan? I need Bryan. Bryan can do guns. Bryyyaaan please! Help! He internally cried.
she handed him one of the shotguns "i put the safety on…. just wanted to let you know." she then muttered to herself "yeah that was worth saying seraph…" she headed down the target's section and picked up a few spin targets "these should do fine."
He held it awkwardly in his hands. Not knowing what to do with the weapon. Um um um um um um ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
she began to walk out the front door "best to do this outside." she set up the targets and stood by Tom "you want to go first?"
"Uhm…." He mumbled. "I… dont… know." Tom shifted his feet.
she shrugged "i'll go, shooting can take the edge of…… or at least that's what i've heard… just imagine what ever is causing you problems down the range, then shoot the fuck out of it." Seraph took aim, fired and was knocked on her ass "ok ow…"
"You okay?" He asked, moving towards her. Concern was in his eye.
"yeah… i didn't lean into the shot…." she got up and held her shoulder "gotta get used to the recoil…. nothing like the first person shooters."
"Still, are you alright?" He asked. "That looked painful…" He looked at her shoulder she cradled in her palm.
"yeah… i'm fine." she picked up her shot gun and kept the barrel to the ground "ok… note to self: lean into the shot and shoulder it correctly…"
Tom watched her, preparing to help her if she got hurt. He shifted the shotgun around in his arms, trying to find the best way to hold and catch her if needed.
