"I'm actually a bit nervous," Ty didn't want to lie and say he was fine, when honestly he was extremely nervous. "I don't know why I am, I just am." He held Kate's hand since that always made him feel better.

"Well." She laughed a little. She stood up on her toes and lightly kissed him. "That's normal."

Blue was running a bit late, one teacher had helped him catch up on a few subjects after class, but he was finally out in the fresh air, walking to the flagpole. Vash was already walking there, and Ty and Kate were waiting. “Hey, sorry I’m a bit late, I hope I didn’t hold you up too much,” Blue said as a greeting, subconsciously massaging the area near his cast.

"No you're fine." Ty smiled at Blue and Vash. It felt a bit awkward since he didn't know them well, but that's what this was for, to get to know them better. "So, were did you guys want to go?"

“I’m really happy with wherever,” Blue shrugged, smiling a little at Vash. As long as she was with him… It would be fun wherever they went. It would be cool to catch up with everyone.

"I'm good with anywhere." Vash smiled a little not wanting her anxiety to take over. She focused on her breathing. its fine. she told herself.

"Well, this doesn't help much. Um," Ty thought for a moment then looked over at Kate. "Do you have anywhere you want to go?" If he had to he could pick a place he just wasn't sure of exactly what wouldn't cost a lot of money.

"Uhhh-" she looked to him amd smiled almost guiltily "-No?" She turned to everyone else. "So, no one has any ideas?" She waited for a moment before something sparked. "Oh! What if we went to this park, it isn't far, it's gigantic and we could just go explore?"

"That sounds fun." Vash added smiling. "We could also make people question our ages by messing around." She joked trying to push her awkwardness away.

"Sounds good to me. Am I driving?" Ty asked, he wasn't sure if anyone else could drive. "I don't mind of course." It felt weird to be the tallest one of the group since Xavier is taller than him and that's all he hung out with most of the time.

"I'd assume so." She looked at him and gave him a small smile, gently squeezing his hand. (Sorry for the shortness)

"Alrighty then, let's go." He led everyone to his truck. "Sorry, not a very fancy car." He had his father's blue the paint was peeling, but he didn't mind, it was the only thing his father left behind for him, or at least what his mother told him. Ty opened the door for Kate and got in on his side.

“No, I don’t like fancy cars anyways,” Blue laughed and opened the door for Vash before getting in himself, “This will be fun, I’m happy we could get together and do this before- before the end of the school year.” Blue caught himself mid sentence, unsure whether or not Ty wanted to keep the news from the hospital a secret.

Kate stepped into the car and began to get buckled. "Yeah…" Does Blue know? As she put the buckle in place, she glanced to her hand, the ring sparkling. She glanced to Ty then back to the window. Does he want Blue to know?

"Before I run out of time? Don't worry, I think everyone but Vash knows." Ty started the car, he thought accepting it is better then living a life afraid of death. "Should we stop and pick up some food before we head to the part?" He tried to change the subject so that no one would have to think about sad things.

“I- um,” He was somewhat surprised Ty said it, but tried to gloss over the topic too, “I’m happy with whatever, but I wouldn’t mind getting food,” Blue glanced out the window, chewing on his lip a little out of habit. He hoped Ty was doing well with everything, despite not knowing him a whole lot.

"Does anybody have anything that they want to eat?" Ty was down for anything, but he was hungry so food sounded good. "I was thinking sandwiches and maybe some chips? You know, just have a cute picnic at the park."

Her heart stopped as he mentioned his time. She quickly pushed the sadness away. "That sounds good. I always love a good picnic."

"Okay." Ty pulled out of the parking lot and headed to the store first. "I figured we could just go to the grocery store and everybody can get whatever they want." He turned the radio on a little so there background noise. "So, Vash, Blue, do either of you drive?"

Vash almost choked on air when Ty mentioned he was on limited time. But quickly shoved any questions she had away when he changed the subject. "Uh- I used to." She mumbled a bit.

“I never got a chance to take the driver’s ed class. My father wouldn’t let me,” Blue shrugged it off, instead focusing on Vash as he intertwined his hand with hers. He smiled a little, laughing lightly as he said, “I probably wouldn’t be a good driver.”

"I'm pretty sure you'd be better then me." Vash joked, bumping Blues shoulder with her own and letting out a slight laugh. She smiled slightly glad that she'd be able to get to know the others and hopeful be able to not come off as weird to them.

"Well, if either one of you wants to learn, I would be happy to teach you." Ty looked in the review mirror to see how happy they looked. It was cute. Ty took Kate's hand and looked at the ring for a second before turning back to the road.

“You’d teach me? I don’t know… I wouldn’t want to be in the way or anything, and I don’t even have money for a car of my own…” Blue mumbled a little, but the smile stayed on his face. Vash is really cute…

"Of course I would. And you don't have to have a car to learn to drive, you could always borrow my truck if you two want to leave town for a bit or something." Blue was too nice for his own good. "Do either of you have a younger siblings?" Ty would love if Serra had a friend to play with here if they did.

"I don't know." Vash mumbled. She wondered if that's why her mother wanted to meet her. To tell her she gave up one child only to have more. Vash shook her thoughts from her head not wanting to be a downer, "how about you? Any siblings?" She bounced the question back.

"I have a adorable little sister. Although she lives with my mom so I only get to see two weekends a month. But, she has no friends here so I was just wondering." He wanted to see her so bad, maybe he would ask his abuela to call his mom and see if she could come down sooner. "I feel like you guys would like her, most people do though."

Blue smiled, but said, “I’m glad I don’t have any siblings,” It took him a second to figure out how that sounded, and hastily added, “That came out wrong. I, uh- I’m glad my father couldn’t, uh- um, yeah.” He ended up in a mumble, chewing his lip. He shook the thought away, looking at Vash trying to keep his mind off it.

Kate kept her eyes down as they talked about siblings. Everyone had that part of their story broken in different places. It made her sad, and yet somehow happy to know that she wasn't the only broken one here.

"Blue, it's fine, I understand," He was thankful that his mom was a good to Serra, or at l ee's at he hoped so. But with the way she acts when his mom comes to pick her up makes him suspicious. "Anyway, I think she would really like you guys."
