"I know. And I'm glad I got there on time," Kasey took a shaking breath, a few tears sliding down her cheeks as she squeezed her eyes shut tight. "But what if I hadn't? You'd be dead. I– I don't know what I'd do if you died…" Her voice grew quieter as she spoke, trailing off from a whisper.
“Well I’m not dead, so you need to stop thinking like that… p-please.” Liam said, reaching over to wipe away her tears.
"Sorry," Kasey whispered, peeking through wet eyelashes at Liam. She yawned and stretched a little, then put her chin in her hand as she simply looked at Liam.
"What's that look for?" Liam asked, "You look tired, maybe you should get some sleep…" Liam suggested gently.
Kasey shrugged. "I'm just glad you're okay. And I really don't want to leave you alone…"
Liam did his best to shuffle over on the bed, "There should be enough room on here." He gave her a smile and inclined his head, wanting her to lie with him.
Kasey smiled and gently climbed in with him. She rested her head on his shoulder with a sigh, looking up at the ceiling.
"Tell me if I hurt you," she murmured.
Liam turned and kissed her cheek, "You could never hurt me." He said quietly.
Kasey closed her eyes and sighed through her nose. "I hope so," she whispered. "I don't want to."
"I know, and I'm the same." He sighed and immediately felt the guilt from early rush back into him. She'd said it was fine but he couldn't stop feeling this way.
Kasey lifted her head slightly to place a quick, soft kiss to his lips.
"If you promise not to hurt me, I promise not to hurt you," she whispered smiling at him.
“I promise.” Liam replied, giving her a small smile.
Kasey smiled at him for a moment longer, then closed her eyes.
"Sleep now?"
Liam nodded, “Yeah, yeah that sounds good.” He muttered, his eyes already closed.
"Cool. Night, Liam," Kasey murmured before she fell asleep.
(When two of your RP characters are sleeping at the same time. Lol.)
Ooft, Yup lol)
Liam didn’t sleep well that night, he tried his best to sleep but he was still in some pain. He ended up getting only a couple hours of sleep altogether.
Kasey woke up to light streaming in through the shaded window. She groaned quietly and buried her face in a pillow, not ready to wake up.
Liam laughed quietly and placed a kiss to the others head, “Morning.” He said, his voice raspy.
"Why? Why is it morning? Why are you awake?" Kasey asked, her voice muffled by the pillow.
“I didn’t sleep well last night, I’ve been up for a while.” Liam explained, curling a hand of Kasey’s hair around his finger.
Kasey moved so she could be seen frowning at Liam. "How come?" she asked gently.
Liam shrugged, “Just couldn’t. I was in a little pain so I think that’s why.”
"Hm… Do you want to see if they'll up your pain meds?" Kasey asked.
Liam shook his head, “No, no it’s fine. I’ll be fine.”
"If you're sure… When do you think they'll let you go?" Kasey softly wondered, rolling onto her side so she could see Liam better.
“Tomorrow maybe… I’m not sure.” Liam replied, letting out a small sigh, “I hope it’s soon though.”
"Me, too," Kasey sighed. "I have classes tomorrow, but I'm free for today. I can stay as long as you want me to. Unless something comes up… Or Harper can handle it… He's been doing this longer than I have."
“If you need to leave at anytime then that’s fine by me. Don’t worry about me.” Liam replied, giving her a smile.
"Too late. I started worrying about you the moment you brought me to the garden," Kasey declared with a smile. "Perks of being a super."
Liam laughed a little, “I guess so.” He said quietly, giving her a small smile.
