"Bye, Kitty! See you later!" Courtney said as she waved goodbye.

"Bye!" she called softly.
(Timeskip? Maybe they see each other again at the mall after school or something?)

Kitty was hanging out in the mall again. She stopped outside of a window and looked at a cute top on display.

Courtney, once again, had to stop a man from stealing a lady's purse. She sighed as time stopped, then walked over to the man.

Kitty noticed the reflections of the passerby stop abruptly. She looked around for Courtney and located her beside a man she didn't recognize. "Hi," she remarked.

Courtney jumped at the voice right as she took the purse from the man. She looked over, smiling when she saw Kitty. Giving her the "one moment" gesture, she returned the purse to its rightful owner.

"Hey, Kitty. Man, I'm not used to you being able to do that," she laughed, letting the time go.

A woman who had been walking at quite a brisk pace ran right into Kitty. The girl jolted forward and couldn't keep her balance, landing heavily on her wrists. The woman stopped, startled, then helped Kitty gingerly off the ground. "Sorry, hon," she apologized before hurrying off. Kitty brushed herself off and walked over to Courtney. "I am not having much luck with that, am I?" she laughed softly.

"Hey, it's not your fault," Courtney said with a slight laugh. "Sorry."

"So… um…" Kitty shifted. "When can I start… you know… training?"

"Um… Well, I think we're having a session later today, if you want to join us," Courtney offered with a shrug.

"Could I?" Kitty asked eagerly.

"I mean, yeah. We've already established that you're… one of us, so I don't see why not," Courtney said with a shrug.

Kitty smiled. "So, when? Is it? I'm sorry, am I not supposed to be asking here?" she asked hesitantly.

"It's fine, don't worry about it. Let's say… 3:15? I think that's when we usually start," Courtney said.

Kitty nodded happily. "3:15," she repeated to herself.

Courtney was already at the lab, waiting with the other girls. They were all in the training room talking to each other.

Kitty stepped into the doorway and hesitantly waited in the threshold. She couldn't hide how nervous she was.

Courtney glanced over and saw Kitty standing in the doorway. She smiled and waved her over.

Kitty hurried over to Courtney, feeling a little more relieved. "What are we going to do?"

"Probably some hand to hand first. We have to know how to defend ourselves if we somehow ever lose our powers," Courtney explained.

We can lose our powers? "I don't know any hand to hand," Kitty admitted shyly.

"That's okay, we'll show you," Courtney said.

Kitty felt much more relaxed now. "Okay. When do we start?"

"Um… That's up to Kasey. If you couldn't tell, she's kinda the boss," Courtney chuckled.

"I think I could tell," Kitty said with a smile.

Kasey called the girls to gather them together, and Courtney led Kitty over to the group.

"Today we'll start with basic training, that was our newest member can get caught up," she declared with a smile in the girl's direction.

Kitty smiled and blushed, Kasey deliberately putting the attention on her. "Hi," she whispered, unsure of what else to do.
