Halo smiles as the other walks towards the cave. He enters himself, looking around. "The crystals are further in, along with the spring." He says cheerfully. He looks at John when he spoke. "I'm okay John." He says, smiling a little. "I'll be okay." He limps over to John giving him a sweet kiss.
John closed his eyes at the kiss, yet was still worried about Halo’s limp. He took the other’s arm and wrapped it over his shoulders, making himself a crutch, “As soon as we get to those crystals, I still want to look at it.” He gave a gentle squeeze to Halo’s soft hand.
He smiles a little as he pulls away. He leans against John happily, humming softly as he does so. He looks up at John, glad about how caring the other was. He nods slowly, "Alright." He says gently, leaning on John happily. He was happy that he got to be with John.
John helped Halo walk further into the immense darkness of the cave. But just as John thought it would be pitch black, a small shimmering light appeared up ahead. Then another one, and another. Little crystals, all reflecting and enhancing the light, slowly started to cover the walls around them as the progressed. John smiled at Halo, halting when they were so deep in the cave, “This is a beautiful place. It’s perfect.” Everything about Halo was perfect. John leaned to peck Halo on the cheek.
Halo smiles when he sees the crystals, giggling softly. He looks at John, "Beautiful, huh?" He says. He hears a faint trickling and he smiles, "We're almost there!" He smiles, "C'mon! Quick!" He lets go of John and limps towards the sounds, smiling when he reaches the glimmering pool of fresh, clean, and cool water.
John gasped in awe at the shimmering pool, stopping just before the edge of the water and crouching down, running his hand in the silky water, “Wow…” He was as if in a trance, staring at the smooth water. “Halo, this is amazing…”
Halo nods, smiling a little. "It's beautiful huh?" He chuckles, "The waters are believed to have healing properties. I've never tried myself, but I've always been curious." He sits beside John and smiles warmly at the other. "I've always enjoyed coming in here when it got lonely."
“I’m here now,” John replied with a smile before wrapping one arm around Halo. He used his free hand to take off his shoes and roll up his pant leg before sticking his feet in the water. He glanced at Halo’s ankle, “You should test out those healing properties. I want to look at your ankle, make sure it’s not too bad.”
Halo smiles a little and scooches closer to John. He looks at the water then slowly rolls up his pant leg. His ankle was swollen, most likely just a sprain. He lets his foot dip into the water, sighing as the cool liquid hits his aching skin.
John ghosted his hands over the other’s ankle with a frown. If the swelling doesn’t go down… “Halo, I’m so sorry about earlier. I shouldn’t have been so panicked.” This is my fault, I hurt Halo. “I’m really, really sorry.”
Halo smiles softly. "Silly. It's okay. I'm a clutz at times." He assures gently. He chuckles and leans against the other, sighing happily. He shuts his eyes, humming softly.
John closed his eyes too, letting his shoulder’s droop. It’s safe here. He let out a sigh, “We should swim.” John just wanted to float, just to take the weight over the world off his shoulders for a few moments.
Halo smiles, taking John's hand within his own. He felt safe here. Happy. He looks up when the other suggests swimming. He blushed and looks away. "Y-you go ahead…" He says softly. He had never learned to swim, flying was more of his comfort zone. He smiles warmly at John.
John raised his eyebrows, “Why won’t you join me? Come on, I can help you,” John lightly tugged on Halo’s hand and made a puppy face, “Please. You’ll have fun.” John had swum for hours in army training, gosh that was brutal, but he did really want to enjoy it with Halo.
Halo bites his lip, looking down. "I never learned to swim…" He says shyly. He squeezes John's hand in comfort before smiling a little. "Can you teach me?"
“Of course,” John smiled, before shedding his shirt and pants, only leaving on his boxers, and scooting into the pool, holding a gentle hand out to Halo while promising, “I got you.”
Halo squeaks a little when John removes his shirt. Slowly he does the same before slowly sliding into the cool water. He glances at John still holding his hand.
John made a light laugh, slowly wading into deeper water. He held on tightly to Halo’s hand, and once the water level got to his chest, he wrapped an arm around his waist. Just in case, he told himself. “Swimming isn’t too hard, our bodies can float in the water,” John started, giving an encouraging smile at Halo.
Halo nods, holding onto John nervously as they go further into the water. He gulps softly before squeaking when he's held to John's firm chest. He leans against the other, watching the water.
“Don’t worry, I got you,” He whispered into the other’s ear, taking graceful slow steps into the deeper water. He puts little gentle kisses on the other’s neck to distract him, “I love you.”
Halo holds onto John, his heart racing. He gulps, just relaxing. He fully relaxes as thise kisses are placed to his neck. He gives a content sigh then looks at John. "I love you too." He whispers.
John held on tightly to Halo’s waist, pressing his chest flush against Halo’s. He put more kisses around the other’s jaw and neck, his tongue flicking out every once and a while. John began steadily swimming in the deeper water, kicking his legs gently to keep both of them above water.
Halo holds onto John, melting into the attention. He clings to John as they go deeper into the water. He gulps softly, hugging John close.
“I got you,” He murmured again then added, “Just kick you legs a little, you’re doing great,” John held tightly to Halo, hoping to make him feel safe and secure in his arms.
Halo nods, slowly starting to kick with John, breathing slowly. He smiles at John. He felt safe and happy. He was so glad that he was with John. That they were safe.
“See? You’re great at this,” John whispered, a hand brushing against Halo’s corded chest. He made a small laugh, “You’re perfect.” He leaned his head in to kiss Halo passionately.
Halo squeaks a little as he felt John brush his chest with his gentle hands. He smiles at the compliment. "Th-thanks… You're perfect as well." He whispers, before kissing the other back with just as much passion.
John’s mouth curled upwards into the kiss and murmured, “Why would you love a soldier like me?” It felt safe, swimming the water so close to Halo. Gosh darn he would savor this moment.
He smiles a little, "I-It wasn't supposed to happen…" He whispers softly, "B-but… when I saw you, when I took you in… healed you… I tried my hardest not to fall in love… it just happened. You were strong, you knew what to do… You're caring and loving…" He whispers, smiling a little. "How could I not fall for that?"
John smiled and leaned in, “You’re too kind. It was I that fell for you. You were the dreamy eyed angel that saved my life… You were the guy who cared for me and protected me… You sold your life to save mine.” John whispered, then kissed Halo again, a soft moan escaping him.
