North walked silently back down the hall knowing now what was happening to Zackary.
North walked silently back down the hall knowing now what was happening to Zackary.
Neo turned away from Death with a sigh. “I can’t believe that’s why the Universe kept Zackary alive like that. It’s cruel.”
“Cruel, yes, but it’s the Universe’s way of order. No Guardian can stand as long as he did.”
North stopped walking. *Wait a second..I can't get home." She sighed and turned back around into Neo's office. "Neooo you're welcome for getting Death by the way. Also can you send me home?"
“It’s unfair to Ari.”
“Ari is strong. You need not worry about him.”
The pair glanced over as North approached. Neo grunted and beckoned her over. “Come, then, I’ll teleport you back.”
North walked over to him. "Thanks."
Neo put a hand on her shoulder. She stole a small mark on his right arm that wasn’t there before, but before she could process it, she disappeared with a crack.
North stayed outside for a while, walking around the city in quiet thought.
The city howled with the fall wind, making the whistles sound ghoulish and unhappy. Precisely the mood I wanted to represent.
(sounds like me)
North glanced up the tall building where she sat a couple years ago, thinking about killing herself. She climbed up to the roof and sat in the same spot but with a different feeling in her head. The desire to jump was no longer there.
The wind tickled her face, fluttering her long hair behind her. Below her, the buildings wailed.
I thought it was the worst thing ever, not being able to hurt myself. She thought with a small smile. Her fingers brushed the hard concrete below her, remembering the feeling of pain and sadness.
The little pebbles tinkled happily against her fingers, glittering in the late autumn sun. The wind hushed for a few moments before continuing.
I was stupid back then. I wouldn't try to solve any problems, just jump to the worst conclusions and let myself believe I was nothing. She looked up into the wind and closed her eyes.
A small drop of water landed on her face. She opened her eyes to find dark clouds rolling in; M was outside again, he loved the rain.
North laughed softly and looked down around on the ground for him.
He was probably dwindling somewhere near the forest, so she couldn’t see him.
North ran a hand through her hair and climbed down from the building.
(Iiiiiiiiiam going to bed. Niiiiight)
She was on the windy and rain splattered comcrete. Raindrops were falling hard and fast.
(AWwwwwwwwwwwwwWWWW)
Seriously, you could've waited till I went back inside.
(I may or may not idk)
There was no response. Which was odd for M.
(-_-)
North frowned and walked towards the forest. M?
(What? It depends on if my mum takes my IPad for the night or not.)
No response. The forest was coming up close, too.
(oh ok)
North walked quicker, the rain falling down faster. She found shelter in the trees and looked around for M.
“Whatcha doing here, North? I thought you didn’t like the rain,” mused M’s voice from above.
North looked up. "Are you in a tree? And I happened to be out here before you enjoying the weather before your depressing ass turned it rainy."
“Rain is not depressing,” M said loftily, “it can symbolize a lot of things, like calmness, mood or behavior changes.”
"So then. How ya feeling?"
M shrugged. “Different.”
"How so?" She leaned against the trunk of a wide tree, looking up at M.
“Dunno… everything’s just quieter…”
