"i actually haven't. i'm usually immersed in my work or school projects." she shrugged "i don't go shopping. i just go on ebay to get scrap for my projects."

"Ah, ok. That makes sense." He replied. "Well, uh, this'll be fun."

"yeah i imagine so." good gods why is he so fucking cute? seraph began to blush a little remembering what happened at the verizon store.

He walked to the automatic doors and they opened for him, sliding as usual. He looked up at it. Strange… "Well, let's go make a fort somewhere."

Seraph looked around at the space "good… gods… this place is huge!" she rushed off to the power tools trying to find a welder "damn… they don't have a welder…"

"Well, they don't really sell those here." He panted from behind her. Damn she can run when it comes to welding..

She sighed "well i could probably make one… finding the right gases will be a challenge…" she thought for a second "nah, i think i need a break from welding anyway." she turned to Tom "any idea where a good fort placement could be?"

He thought for a moment. "In the middle, there are typically beds and bean bag chairs… so i guess there? We could even go through the managers' offices… i heard in certain ones there are upstair offices… we could drag stuff to an upstairs office…"

"they might be locked though… if they are we can rely on good old electricity." she made lightning arc between her fingers and mumbled "slowly learning how to control this…"

He laughed lightly. "Yeah, you seem to be getting better with that."

"lets go to the middle, it's nice, comfy and easy to make a fort out of the things there."

"Okay." He replied and set off in the comfy area section.

Seraph followed him after she grabbed a nail from a nail box. "Did you get out much?" she asked putting the nail behind her ear like a pencil.

"No, not really… ever since the accident I never really left the house… I got a lot of stares and I'm not all that good with a lot of people…" He shrugged gently.

she gave an understanding smile to him "well, i think you look badass." you are going to ruin this i swear

He gave his half lipped nervous smile. "Um…" He stuttered. "Thanks…" He shoved his hands down his jacket pockets to resist the urge to scratch the back of his neck.

"No problem." as they neared the comfy section of the store Seraph took a look around at the beanbags "So…. Walmart is a general store?"

"Yeah… it has everything. Even…" His eyes went wide, he looked up at the front area and scanned for an upstairs office. He found a window with the light on. Office. "We're decking the office with a Tv and a computer."

"Ok." seraph looked for stairs and found the top of a stair case in the distance "I think that is our ticket up."

"Well… let's grab some stuff for the office, then we'll go check it out." He scanned through the shelves. "Wait… no we have to have an idea of what the office looks like first…" He trailed off, looking back and forth between the office and the items on the shelves.

Seraph took items similar to Tom's you have to tell him at some point… she mumbled to herself "i'm going to tell him soon… i just hope he feels the same way."

Tom looked at her, his green gaze curious. "What?" He probed.

you said that out loud you idiot, quickly think of a lie. she sighed "i… i have a small… crush on you." she trailed off YOU IDIOT!!!

He stared at her. He felt his brain explode. Everything was screaming at once, sirens blaring, internal screaming, he felt it all. All he could manage to get out was a single "um" as his cheeks flushed red. He swayed on his feet and stumbled backward against the shelf.

Her face quickly turned tomato red LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO THE POOR BOY!!!! "uh… um ah… i'm sorry…" she buried her face in her hands trying to hide her crimson face.

His heart seemingly exploded from the cuteness. His face became one with the ripest of tomatoes. He fell over and landed on the soft stuff he pulled out and rolled onto the floor.

you killed him… you killed the poor boy… HOLY FUCK YOU KILLED HIM!!!! Seraph quickly went to his side as he spoke "you… you do?" you…. you killed you… her head began to feel light and the store began to spin. She softly slipped from consciousness and basically fell on him.

He no longer felt control over his body. "Y-yeah." He replied and he felt her fall onto him. A scrambled mix of words and screams jumbled his brain.
He felt her back to see if she was breathing. She passed out…
Without thinking he stroked his hands through her auburn hair. So soft… how….

a small squee escaped her lips "is… is this really happening?" she wrapped her arms around him in a warm hug "yeah… this is happening…"

It seemed all the screaming had faded away in a gentle breeze. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a tight embrace. "it is…"
