Lavender’s chest heaved. “I’m sorry. Just—- did she have one completely black eye? You couldn’t have forgotten that, it’s the kind of thing that would haunt you forever.”
Lavender’s chest heaved. “I’m sorry. Just—- did she have one completely black eye? You couldn’t have forgotten that, it’s the kind of thing that would haunt you forever.”
"I've seen things that are a lot worse, that's definitely not something that would haunt me. But yeah I think she might've."
Lavender buried her face in her hands. “Strudel, concerned, kicked her cheek. “Was she Seelie or Unseelie?” Her voice quivered.
"I have no idea."
“Okay.”, was all Lavender said, avoiding eye-contact.
"Why are you asking?" he said softly.
“No reason.” She whispered, still not looking him in the eye.
"No, tell me. It's obviously important," he said, taking a small step forward and looking down at her.
"It's nothing." Lavender pressed her lips together, fists clenched.
He sighed, not wanting to push her too far, which was a bit uncharacteristic of him. However, he knew he needed to get along with everybody who was trapped here. "Okay, well… do you want a coffee? To help clear your head?"
Lavender shrugged. "Sure." She still wasn't looking him in the eye.
He frowned, then led her off the the cafe area where Ro was. "Hey, can we get two coffees?"
Ro grinned. "Make em yourself."
"I don't know how," he complained.
"When you enter this kitchen, you know practically every recipe ever."
"I don't," he argued.
Lavender petted the tiny, sand colored dragon, no longer than her thumb, affectionaly.
Asura glanced over at the dragon, smiling softly. "If it drank coffee, I wonder what flavor she'd like."
"I'm guessing anything with nuts and low sugar. Probably vanilla, and she'll love honey or any kind of nectar because of her butterfly genes.", she smiled.
(please look up Auquilops dino to see roughly what she looks like)
(ok I did)
"Wow, you know a lot about her," he said, sitting down.
Lavender shrugged. "I helped make her. Technically speaking, I'm the closest thing to a mother she has considering she carries some of my genes."
aaaand you're gone)
(sorryyy)
"Weird how that works," he said.
Lavender shrugged. “When you live in an underground genetics lab, you see stuff like this all the time.”
He frowned. "I don't. My universe is pretty boring."
“What’s it like?”
He sighed, resting his head in his hands. "Just… lots of demons everywhere. They aren't exactly intelligent beings, so it's just… not very fun."
“I see. Well, there must have been at least ONE interesting thing!”
He thought about it for a moment, scratching his stubble. "Not that I can think of. I mean, my lions were pretty cool, but being a king of unintelligent demons isn't the most entertaining thing. That's why I always like to change into my human form and life along with humans in their realms," he explained, looking away. "I'm actually in my human form now. It's a bit painful to maintain, but I'm afraid that if I revert to my natural form, I won't have enough power to turn back."
