She finally managed to stop gasping like a dying fish. "Yeah. Yeah I'm alright." She chuckled lightly. "Just a bit winded."

He looked around at the lights, contrasting the previous dark he was sitting in. “Okay good,”

"Hey Ryan!" Thomas waved from off stage, sipping at a water bottle. Valerie waved too. "You already know those two. You've met Jamie already, but the rest are mysteries."

Lillian was still laughing. She didn't respond and looked at Darren. Every moment was memorable with him.

“Hey guys,” he smiled, feeling more comfortable around people he knew.

"Alright alright, time for warmups. Janice, you ready?" Max smiled, handing her a microphone. "You know it honey." She chuckled, taking her place next to Jamie who was stood center stage next to Thomas. "Music!" Max called as he jumped off the stage.

The song ended and the three were dying of laughter. "Oh, oh my god I can't breathe!" Belle choked out, practically doubled over. It wasn't that it was that funny, it's just because this is what they did.

Ryan smiled at them, kinda happy he wasn’t in the spotlight at the moment.

Max hopped back onto the stage, calling the group to attention. "Alright alright settle down. We have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it so let's get started. The opening song! Fun!" He chuckled, reaching for a small CD player on the table in front of the stage. Belle's eyes scanned the room before landing on her fiancé. She shot a dazzling and excited smile, motioning for him to come on stage.

Ryan stood up and walked on stage next to Belle.

She grabbed his hand, lacing their fingers together. She could practically feel everyone staring at them. "Oh! Right! Everyone, since Erik could not join us got this performance, Belle brought her fiancé to play the part of Elijah." Max explained.

“Why would that be?” Lillian asked curiously.

She ducked her head, her cheeks tinting red. "I'm not that good." She mumbled, embarrassed. "Accept it starlet! Your voice us amazing!" He laughed, jumping down from his spot to tilt her head back up.

“Why would that be?” Lillian asked curiously.

“Because, your birthday is supposed to be a good thing. Nothing can hurt you anymore so why not enjoy it?”

“I guess, but old habits die hard?” Lillian said with a slight smile.
