North followed him, nodding to Life as they passed through.

Life looked worried and rather upset. “Neo!”
He sighed deeply at turned to him. “Yes, Life?”
“Where’s Insanity?”
“I don’t know.”
“I need him.”
Neo raised an eyebrow. “Do you, now? He might be waiting for you somewhere in the basment. Just don’t break anything like last time, yeah?”

North smiled a little at the exchange but stayed quiet.

Life nodded and hurried out.
“Damn Life and Insanity… Charles and I were never like that…” Neo shook his head and led her to Death’s room.

"I'm sure you weren't." North grinned.

They told the haughty Death of the current events and Neo turned to North. “Ready?”

"Yeah." She avoided looking at Death.

Neo noticed and shut the door. He held out his arm. “Grab on.”

North did as he said, glancing up at him.

She and Neo disappeared with a crack, to a vast ocean.
“Odd… I teleported to the Fire Orb…”

"Did you though?" She looked around, letting go of Neo's arm.

“I… I think so…” He glanced around. The ocean rushed over their feet with a hushhhh of water.

North laughed. "Did you by chance mess up?"

“No…” Neo frowned. He took out a phone-like device and tapped a few buttons. “No, these are the coordinates of the orb. We’re in the right place.”

"Oh.." North gazed all around her, squinting slightly in the sunlight.

“Hmmm telling by how weak the signal is… I think it’s underwater… the Fire Orb is the one we should’ve made you guys get first…”

"That's great. Zackary left by the way, if you haven't noticed."

“Yes, I have noticed. I know where he is too, who he’s with, and the current problem on his mind.”

"I assumed he found Ari then. What's the problem?"

Neo shrugged. “Never you mind, we have something we have to find.”

"You can't just say that and expect me not to ask about it." North muttered.

Neo blew a brief raspberry. “If you didn’t send him away again you would’ve been able to notice.”

North whipped around to face Neo, glaring at him. "So I'm supposed to keep an asshole of a guy in my head who insulted me every five seconds to know something you can just tell me now?"

“Zackary’s an asshole to everyone, perhaps you should stop yourself from going down the same path.” He looked at her down his nose with a grin.

"Yeah? Maybe you should stop going around acting like it's okay to be treated like that instead of laughing like it's funny." She replied, staring back.

Neo’s grin didn’t vanish, as one would expect it to. “Sure,” He started nonchalantly, “say that to the God of Mind Readers, who, ooooooooh noooo, doesn’t get mentally abused every day.”

"Not all of us are the great Neo Whembrooke who has all the resources to help him cope with depression and anxiety and all the bad fucking things in his life!"

(What Neo just said was sarcasm, if she didn’t pick up on that)

Neo sighed and shook his head at her. Christ, I don’t blame Zackary. She’s willing to fight anyone…

(ye i know. she meant he's got things to help him deal with getting mentally abused and not everyone does)
North huffed and turned away. You two drain all my energy in the span of five minutes.

Neo shook his head and walked over to the water, taking off his neat dress shoes. Then his socks. He tossed them away into the sand then looked down at his long dress pants, entirely made of wool. “Damn, I like these pants…”

So Neo did the only thing a logical gay man would do. Take off his pants. Not his underwear, though, thank Gods.
