Vin shivered. He was shirtless and in wet trunks, so naturally he was cold. He gazed around, trying to look for the source of the coolness.
Vin shivered. He was shirtless and in wet trunks, so naturally he was cold. He gazed around, trying to look for the source of the coolness.
Baal looked over at him, noticing how cold he was. So he picked him up and set him on his back, which was rather warm
Vin laid down to avoid snapping his neck on the ceiling, which came as a nice reward. The scales on Baal’s back warmed up his stomach as Baal walked.
Baal walked through the graying forest, which was looking more and more pale blue and grey than the forest they had left
Vin turned his head this way and that, wanting to get a look at everything. He loved this forest the best. Despite it being cold, of course.
Eventually they came upon what looked like a large stone building in the middle of a clearing. It looked almost Greek, and the same symbol that was on the gate was above the doorless entryway into the building. It seemed a bit colder here, but Baal's warmth kept the chill away
Vin rested his chin on an angle so he could see past Baal. “Why are we stopping?”
"Because this is where Isthet lives, I'm assuming," Baal answered. He looked around, sniffing at the brush before turning his attention to the building
(Do you want me to write the dragon?)
Vin rolled his eyes. “No shit.”
(nah, I've got it)
"Well unless you're well versed in the manners you're supposed to use when talking to a spirit, I suggest you calm down," Baal huffed before making his way towards the building. He peered into the massive doorway, but quickly jumped back when a long snout poked its way out from the doorway
Vin rolled his eyes. “Oh, burn me in a crisp for- what the HeLl?”
Baal smacked him upside the head with his tail before backing away. An obviously dragon-ish head slid out from the entryway, its long snout seemingly skeletal. It had far too many teeth, with large curling tusks protruding from around the middle. It had four eyes like Baal, but its were slit and pale blue with black X-shaped eyes. It had large horns jutting from its forehead, and its pale blueish-white hide was marked by black lines and tribal designs
Vin gazed up at the dragon in awe. “Wow… so cool…” He sat up so that he could see the huge dragon better.
The dragon craned its enormous, long neck as it towered over the two. Another head squeezed through the head to slink out and look down at them as well
Vin looked up at the craning giant head. “What do we say?” He spoke in a whisper, hoping Baal could hear.
“Nothing yet,” Baal answered, eyes trained on the creature’s heads. One went to Vin, sniffing at him curiously while the other looked Baal over
Vin looked up at the sniffing head and raised a hand, placing it on the giant snout to steady himself. PLease don't knock me off of Baal thanks.
The sniffing head huffed through the empty cavity where its nose should have been, seemingly jostled by the touch. The other head seemed more intent on poking and prodding at Baal, who wasn’t exactly enjoying it
Vin blinked a couple times as he's washed in an exhale. He opened his eyes and patted at the head gently.
I'm not going to hurt you… please don't hurt us.
“I can hear you worrying, child. There is no reason to fret,” came a strangely melodious voice. It had a slight hiss to it, though that just seemed to be part of the voice’s speech. Baal looked up at the sound of the voice
Vin made a little 'o' with his mouth and grinned up at the dragon. "Okay. Thanks… for not killing us."
Baal’s eyes narrowed at the dragon in an almost suspicious manner. The voice just seemed to chuckle as the heads pulled back a bit. “I have no reason for taking your lives. I am rather content with my current horde,” they hummed
Vin blinked a couple more times but shook it off. "Alright, then. Well, Baal and I wanted to ask you something, if that's okay."
“And what would that be?” Isthet asked, one of their heads tilting in a curious manner
"We were curious as to how we could get back to where we came. A riptide pulled at us and Baal took me here."
“Back where you came?” Isthet repeated almost incredulously. “You’re in the spirit world for a reason, child. Though I suppose it is odd that a human was brought to Osiris.”
"Well- if it helps, I'm not human. I'm a Demon." Vin shrugged a little and continued patting Isthet's snout.
Does he even like this????
Isthet didn't seem to mind Vin petting him, though he did laugh a bit at Vin's comment. "Now, what is a demon doing in a place like this?" he chuckled
Vin shrugged. "Dunno, Baal just took me here and made me open a few doors. Apparently, they didn't recognize him."
Isthet turned his free head curiously at that. "They wouldn't recognize him? Odd, odd, odd," he hummed, his free head now turning to look at Baal. The dragon warily looked up at him, but stood proud
