Neo hummed. “Yes, I thought you’d come to me with that problem… we Gods can figure something out, don’t worry.”

"Why are you a god and M isn't?" She wondered out loud, spinning Neo's ring around on her finger.

“M used to be a Demigod before I died. Well, no, my magic was split between us, then I died and gained his magic.”

"You…died?" North asked, a little confused.

“Yyeeep. Still have the scar on my stomach.”

"Ok. Um just one more question. Do you know anything about my other siblings? Or maybe why i've never met any of them?"

Neo yawned a little. “Oof, sorry, yes I do. There are twelve others, I can even rattle off their names.”

"I don't care about that I just..why didn't any of them take me with them when Xanthe and Cameron died?" She asked quickly, glancing up at Neo.

“I don’t know. The others had already fled away from each other, since everything was falling apart. They’d’ve rather you and your younger simblings to stay away from that.”

"Oh..but I don't remember any of them. Like, at all.."

Neo hummed again. “You were very young. No one expects you to.”

"I was eight. I should've…never mind, doesn't matter." She trailed off

“You were not eight, North.” Neo grinned at her.

"But I remember…" North frowned, feeling as if something was missing from her memories. She shook her head. "I don't know.."

“You were three when Cameron got sick. Perhaps eight is the point to which you remember your childhood.”

"Yeah, probably…" She muttered. "So anyway, I had a reason to be here."

Neo cleared his throat. “Yes, you did. What would you like?”

"Uh I need to get to the orbs?? I thought I already said that."

“Yes and I said don’t worry about it.” Neo put the tips of his fingers together.

"Well is there anything I can do?"

Neo nodded. “Yes, you can breathe, walk, eat…”

"Boring." North muttered. "Anything else? Please, i'm really bored."

Neo yawned again. “No, not really, but you’re free to come with me to get the other orbs.”

"You need sleep Neo. Take better care of yourself."

Neo rose out of the chair. “I don’t need any such thing. Do you want to come?”

"Yes you do. And sure, why not."
