“fUCKING KILL ME THEN!” Vin bellowed out the rest of his breath.
“fUCKING KILL ME THEN!” Vin bellowed out the rest of his breath.
"I CAN'T BECAUSE I CAN'T DO THAT TO VIEN! OPEN THE GOD FORSAKEN DOOR!" Baal screeched back
Vin gasped for breath and shook his head. “N…no!”
Baal snarled at him, though he immediately tensed when something echoed around the empty cavern. "Open the door, Vin, or we will both die," he hissed
Vin glared at Baal hazily. “Fine. Only because I don’t want you to crush me to death. How do I open the door?”
"Put your hand on the circle in the center," Baal said, gesturing towards the ornate circle in the center of the door
Vin reached over and set his hand into the circle. This is so fucking weird…
At Vin's touch the carvings in the gate turned a bright green. Something clicked into place, and the door began to open. Meanwhile Baal watched the trees around them nervously, hearing more of the strange echoing sounds and noises of some strange creature
Vin flailed. “Can you let me go, now?”
"Can you run quickly?" Baal asked, shifting anxiously as he heard the door almost finishing opening. Some of the trees appeared to be moving now, and he didn't want to stick around any longer
“Yeah? Have you ever met a Demon who can’t run fast?” Vin snorted.
“Well you had better run quickly, because you’re going to have to close the door as soon as we’re through,” Baal answered before setting him down
“How do I do that?” Vin asked, stretching out his legs.
“Same as before. Hand on the circle.” The door finally finished opening as some of the trees appeared to be climbing onto the stairs. “Now RUN!” he shouted before booking it towards the door
Vin gasped for a breath of air before haring foreward. He was just a quick little blur as he sped through the door and across the area beyond that.
Baal leapt after him, just barely managing to get through before one of the “trees” grabbed at his tail. “Shut the door!” he shouted
Vin scooted up to the opposite door and slammed his hand onto the other platform, heaving for breath.
The door began to close, and Baal got to his feet as he watched the stone close on a sickly green-black hand. It snapped clean off before dissolving into dust
Vin coughed a couple more times before walking back over to Baal. He tugged at the choker, leaning on the dragon’s arm, heaving.
Baal gave him a look when he tugged at the choker. "It's adjustable, you know," he huffed before nudging the back of the choker and loosening it a bit
Vin inhaled deeply. “Thank fuck! It was choking the hell out of me!”
"Calm down, I didn't have time to adjust it before," Baal huffed. He looked around, sniffing a bit at the air. The area they had landed in was very serene and full of pastel pink and blue plant life
Vin sighed as he finally grabbed hold of himself and looked around. “Huh. Where are we now?” He walked over to a plant and poked it.
"Welcome to Osiris, the true spirit realm," Baal answered, seemingly a little happy as he looked around. His form shifted again so that he was back to his previous 6-limbed self
(Ima just take this plant)
The plant danced under Vin’s finger and took it up into its mouth.
“What the hell?” Vin pulled out his finger.
(lol)
Baal chuckled a bit at how Vin freaked out. "Relax, the vast majority of this realm is occupied by peaceful spirits."
Vin poked at the flower again, which this time licked his hand. “Okay, what?” He pulled his hand away,
"Osiris is the spirit realm. Peaceful spirits of animals and those that are more connected to nature come here after their deaths," Baal explained
Vin wrinkled his brow and looked up. “Huh. Where are all of the spirits?”
"They are usually wary of newcomers. It's normal. This is also one of the largest realms, if not the largest of them all," Baal answered
