"Would you look at that, you missed the center." Andion said, smiling and crossing his arms.
"Would you look at that, you missed the center." Andion said, smiling and crossing his arms.
"Yes. I noticed," Blaine droned. She pulled another arrow back, and this one came closer to, but still didn't hit, the center.
"Damn, I thought you were supposed to be accurate?" Andion nudged her in the side playfully.
"If I shoot you through the heart will it be accurate enough for you?" Blaine muttered as she shot another arrow. This one finally reached the center, and Blaine smiled.
Andion chuckled, “There we are. There’s the accurate Blaine.” He said smiling.
"I'm always accurate. If I don't hit the bullseye, I'm not trying to," Blaine bluffed, rolling her eyes.
“Liar, you need to work on your lying skills, Lady.” Andion said, grinning.
Blaine shot a glare at Andion, then quickly turned and loosed another arrow. It hit the bullseye again, or at least… as close to the bullseye as it could, considering that there were other arrows there already.
"Perhaps. But not my archery skills."
"Oh, definitely not your archery skills, lying on the other hand…" He shrugged and put his hands in his pockets, "Something you do need to work on."
Blaine shrugged. "It's not like I really need them, not for this job. It's always 'get in, kill the person, get out'. Easy."
"Sometimes you need to lie. Depends on the job, I've had too." He said, looking out over the shooting range.
"Well, then, it's a good thing I haven't needed to, yet," Blaine said. She sighed and started toward the target to grab her arrows. After shooting as kind as she had been, her fingers had started to hurt, even with her calluses.
Andion stood and watched as Blaine retrieved her arrows.
Maybe I’ll have to teach her how to lie…
“Blaine, how about I teach you how to lie? We’ll go out tonight to the tavern, see what happens.”
Blaine, having collected all of her arrows, walked back to Andion. She gave him a questioning look.
"Why…?" she asked.
“To teach you how to lie, and because I need a drink so it’s two birds with one stone.” He said, shrugging.
"Yes, but why do you want to teach me in the first place?" Blaine asked, crossing her arms.
Andion our his hands in his pockets, “Who cares. It’ll be fun. Or are you too scared to try.”
Blaine huffed, frowning. "Fine. What time, and where should I meet you?"
"Eight, outside of the guild. Don't tell anyone where you're going." Andion said, grinning as he started to back out of the range.
"Sure. Sounds like a plan," Blaine said with a curt nod. She grabbed the rest of her things and walked out as well, starting for her room.
(Annnd skip)
Andion waited outside the guild, a grin on his face as he waited for Blaine. He was excited for some reason, to be spending time with her. He frowned and shook the though from the head.
Blaine bit her lip as she finished getting ready. Why was she so worried about what she looked like? Ugh, she had no reason to care!
Finally, she made her way out to the place where Andion was waiting for her. She looked at him, her face a mask of calm and bored.
“You came! Great, let’s go.” Andion said when he saw her and once she was by his side, started to walk down the streets, still slightly packed with people that evening.
"I mean, yeah… I said I would," Blaine said with a shrug. "So… How are you planning to go about this?"
“We are going to say we are noble folk and ask for a drink. We aren’t going to pay the entire time, by the way.” Andion said.
"Free drinks. Nice," Blaine nodded approvingly. "Anything else?"
Andion smirked, “We’ll see. You have to act like a noble women the entire time and see if people believe it. Oh, and try and seduce a man.”
Blaine sighed. "Really? Fine… I'll do my best…"
"Great! I know the perfect place." Andion said, a smile still playing on his lips as he led them to the tavern.
Blaine followed him inside, wondering what he thought she was going to do. How was she supped to "seduce a man"?
