(It was instinct)
Cameron nodded and started walking back into the palace. Once they reached it, the A/C hit them like a wave of god.

(True, but I had no reason to say it as loudly as I did. Lol. I basically yelled it just so that my sister could hear me from downstairs.
Also, Lilah asked Cam something.)
"Ohhhh, that's nice," Lilah said, closing her eyes as they stepped inside. She paused so that she wouldn't run into anything.
(Heck sorry I’m a little distracted by some bad decisions I made. Or just… feeling bad about said decisions)
Cameron glanced at her as they walked down the hallway. “What did you say? What I had in mind? For dinner, I was thinking of a little Diner just on our right.”
(Aw. Sorry. If I can help in any way, I'd be glad to. Even if it's just to talk.
Also, you covered that up really well. Like, seriously. That was well written.)
Lilah reopened her eyes and started following after Cameron. "Sounds cute. I'm sure I'll enjoy it."
(Thanks Moth. It’s just dumb drama that I started and feel bad about. Also, thanks. ^-^)
Cameron nodded. “The staff there’s amazing. You’ll love it,” He paused. “I… think.”
(X3 Any time.)
Lilah laughed. "If you think that I will, then I'm sure I will. Plus, it's food! It's hard to go wrong with food."
Cameron laughed with her. “Yes, food is quite good, isn’t it?” He grinned at her, feeling that fluttery sensation again.
She trusts my judgement!
Lilah felt her heart skip a beat when Cameron grinned at her. His smile always caught her, and she just couldn't help but smile back. It was a nice feeling, that catching-of-breath, heartbeat-skipping, feeling she got from simply being around him. She hoped to continue to feel that way as long as she was with him, and even after she left.
(Wow, nice.)
Cameron kept his gaze on her for a bit, until Lily flailed more again, reminding him of her. He glanced at the puppy and let her down.
“There… now you can’t pee on mum’s carpet… which you’ll do anyway.” He rubbed her head. “Good girl, Lily.”
(…I surprise myself sometimes…)
Lily smiled down at the dog, though her thoughts really weren't on Lily. She still couldn't stop thinking about Cameron, and it was making her head feel fuzzy and her heart warm.
Oh my gosh, I just can't stop…
Lily ran about their legs, borking her smol bork. Cameron took Lilah’s hamd again. “So, anyway, my room’s up this way.” He looked at her profile, falling feint to how pretty she was, for like the 40000000th time that day.
(Her "hamb". Lol. Also, it's "faint".)
"Okay," Lilah whispered with a smile.
(Gosh darn it, this IPad, i sweaaarrrrr)
He started walking, then stumbled over Lily, having not paid attention. He cursed gently as he fell over the still borking puppy.
(Lol. I'm babysitting, so that's why I'm so slow. Sorry…)
Lilah laughed a bit and bent down to pick Lily up. "You're gonna make someone get hurt, little missy."
(That’s okay!)
Cameron struggled back up to his feet. “Lily…”
Lily borked and wiggled, licking Lilah’s face.
"No, hey! No licking people's faces!" Lilah laughed.
Lily barked loudly and happily, only to cut off when Cameron gently took the pup. “She’s right, you know.”
"Aw, I was enjoying the puppy love," Lilah said with a playful pout. "Lilac's too old to be picked up, now…"
Cameron laughed and rolled his eyes. “You can enjoy more up in my room.” Only when he started did he realize how weird that sounded.
Lilah blushed a bit, though she figured he didn't mean it that way. She laughed, albeit a bit awkwardly.
"Okay, sure."
After a few moments of walking Camerom glanced back at her. “You know… I didn’t mean it like that.” He turned a faint red around the ears.
"Yeah, I kinda didn't think you did," Lilah admitted with a shrug. "You just don't seem like that kind of guy."
Cameron glanced away. “Yeah- Imean… what?” He didn’t understand what she just said.
(I did, but he didn’t.)
(Lol. Okay.)
"I didn't think you meant to say what you said in the way it sounded… Like… Ugh, I don't know how to explain it…" Lilah groaned.
Cameron shook his head. “Sorry, I’m too stupid for my own good.”
"No, you're not. I'm just horrible with voicing my thoughts," Lilah said.
Cameron rolled his eyes. “The first time was pretty clear, I’m just really incompetent.”
"You are not," Lilah argued, frowning at him.
Cameron shrugged, a slight frown of his own on his face. “My room’s up this staircase and to the right.” He turned and started walking up a flight of marble stairs with a blue carpet running down the middle.
Lilah hurried after him. "Hey, what's the face for?"
