Met nodded, holding the door open. “Alright… are you sure?”
Met nodded, holding the door open. “Alright… are you sure?”
Seth smiles weakly. "I am totally fine."
Met nodded and backed up a little, only to jump around and face… nothing. He cleared his throat again and turned back around.
“Sorry… if you say so, si-Seth.”
Seth tilts his head, "Are you alright, Met?" He asks gently.
Met gave a slight nod and rubbed the back of his head. “Just… just…” He shook his head.
Seth smiles a little, "If theres something I can do, I want to help Met. You're part of this family now."
Met glanced down at his bare feet. “No, I’m okay.”
Seth nods and smiles softly. "Alright." he says gently.
Met sighed gently. “So… did you get Zackary’s breakfast? He made it before he left with Jace and Neo.”
"Yes, I got it." He says softly. "Why'd you stay?" He asks curiously, "Instead of going with your brother?"
Met mumbled something about, “Not wanting to bother anyone,” with a slight shrug.
Seth smiles gently. "You won't have to worry about being a bother. You're welcome to come to me anytime." He says softly.
Met blinked a couple times up at Seth, soft confusion on his face. It was clear he’s never been spoken to like that before. “O-okay. Thank you.”
Seth nods and smiles kindly towards the young adult. "Of course. We're family now, Met. You don't have to hesitate if you ever need anything.
Met smiled a little. “I won’t.”
Seth nods, chuckling softly. "I'm glad." He replies, stretching a little.
Met nodded and glanced up at Seth. “Were you crying just now?”
Seth starts and smiles a little. "A little. It's been… stressful." he says softly. "Nothing major. Just small things piling up."
Met studied Seth for a few seconds more before nodding. “Okay. So…” He gave a tenative glance over his shoulder and back at Seth.
Seth smiles a little, "What would you like to do?" He asks curiously.
Met glanced down at his feet again. “I like to read.”
Seth grins, "I love reading!" He says as he smiles at the other. "Do you want to head to the bookshop and pick some books out?" He asks.
Met blinked a couple times at his feet and back up at Seth, puzzled. “Um… sure.”
Seth smiles. "I know a good one that's not far from here. We can walk or take the car. It's your choice."
“Taking the car is smarter, considering you’re not a demon anymore.” Met raised his gaze to look at Seth.
Seth nods and smiles a little. He blinks a few times, "Wait… what do you mean?" He asks carefully.
Met blinked. “You’re a demon. No, sorry, you were a demon. I studied them when I was in college; I’d recoginze one anywhere… now you’re not.”
Seth tilts his head, "Wow… and you're not nervous about that fact? That you were adopted by demons?"
“No.” Met shook his head. “Two Demons, or one former one, anyway, aren’t dangerous together.”
"Fair enough." He replies and chuckles, "Alright then, car it is."
