The cheeseburger tasted good, but his stomach started bleeding again. "What an inconvenience." Ace said, staring at his open wound in the middle of his chest that he didn't bother to cover up with a shirt. Ace noticed some people staring at him, they must think I'm cute. So he flashed a smile and waved, completely oblivious to the fact that they were staring at his bloody wound.

HIS STOMACH STARTED BLEEDING AGAIN. AND ALL HE CAN THINK IS "THAT'S AN INCONVENIENCE?!"

Ellis had taken a strange interest with the blind man in the flat.

"So you can't see anything?" Ellis tried to grasp the concept.

"Nope."

"Not even.. dreams?" He attempted.

Dani smiled wider. Sabine rolled her eyes. "M'kay you lovebirds. I'm going back to bed." There was a flash and she was gone. Dani sighed. "I have given up on making her stop using superspeed in the house."

Skylar quietly watched Ellis and the new guy's conversations. "Ellis, if you need me, I'm going to see Peter. Tell somebody if you're coming up."

Ellis looked up to her, then said to the blind man, "I'm leaving to see my brother. I'm going up,"

Cruz laughed a little. Just a little.

Skylar smiled. "Ok. Let's go." She got a head start going through the door. She anticipated hitting her leg on the side, but she thankfully didn't this time. She walked silently down the hallway all the way to Peter's room. "Peter?" She asked, knocking on the door.

"It's open," peter rasped back loud enough for her to hear, phlegm cluding up his vocal cords.

She opened the door silently and walked in. "Ellis wanted to come see you." She said, gesturing to him. She laughed quietly. "And I guess I did, too."

Ellis scrambled to sit on his brother's legs, which were hidden under the blanket. Peter leaned to ruffle his hair with his weak arms, "It's boring without you two,"

Skylar smiled. "Well Macha had one of those… I don't know what to call them. And we were hungry. I bet many things has happened since we were last here." She joked.

"Next time will you come, will you please bring me something other than jello and applesauce?" He laughed quietly.

Dani snickered. "I've got to….hand it to you……Skye's the limit with how much you surprised me. Several bad things have been happening recently, but you have somehow kept Mack-ing me laugh. Thank you." Then she fell off her chair laughing.

"Of course!" Skylar laughed. "But I'm sure it's not advised."

"I've been through worse," Peter dismissed, "I wish I could kiss you,"

"Ew!" Ellis exclaimed.

Skylar laughed even more. She leaned in and kissed Peter on the forehead.

He smiled broadly, "I love you,"

"I love you too." She beamed. "When do you get out of the hospital?"

"I have no clue.." he admitted, "I still have sores all over me,"

"But I want you out now..!" She whined. "Let me go talk to a doctor. Ellis, stay here." Skylar disappeared out the door.

"Skylar.." he sighed, but let her leave.

Ellis shifted to curl up in his brother's arms.
