"So demons have better eye site then?" Eve laughed missing the wormth of her hand in his. He won. she thought shaking her head slightly, he'll be leaving soon. "this way." She called instead of grabbing his hand again.
"So demons have better eye site then?" Eve laughed missing the wormth of her hand in his. He won. she thought shaking her head slightly, he'll be leaving soon. "this way." She called instead of grabbing his hand again.
I'm glad I didn't kiss her then. He used the wall to follow her. "Yep I'm coming." It was a slow go but eventually he caught up to her. "Just don't leave me behind."
"Awe, don't want to be left alone, with bugs?" Eve turned around to give him a smug grin but then remembered he probably couldn't see it, nor could he see her. A thought crossed her mind before she could shove it deep back into the darkest parts of her mind.
"No, I don't I'm not going to lie." When does this place end. The building was big on the outside, so they still probably had a ways to go. Conner was snapped out of his thoughts when he ran into something. "Um, ow." He felt it to feel what it was but just thought it was another wall.
(Going to assume its a bug?)
Eve looked to Connor wondering what that slight thump noise behind her was, "Connor?" Her voice a bit concerned. "You okay?" She asked turnning to look at what the hold up was.
"Yeah I just ran into another wall, that's what he thought at least until it moved. "Mother of, what the hell!" He fell backwards onto his back. "Eve, your still here right?"
Eve staired in horror, she didn't know they let bugs that big rome around…unless they went into the wrong area. "Connor…don't move." Though she was used to the bugs of hell this on freaked even her out.
"Why? Is this thing going to eat me or something?" A hissing sound came from the bug as it turned around to face Conner. I'm going to die, this is how I'm going to die. Conner held his breath and squeezed his eyes shut waiting for his end.
"When I say so…run the way we just came. As fast as you can." It would probably chase him if there was no distraction so now was as good as any for Eve to use her powers. Mumbling a chant she summoned three pawns and threw something at the giant bug. It turned to face Eve and the three pawns and when it did she shouted, "now!"
Conner stumbled to stand but eventually got up and started running for it. He had no idea where he was going, he held his hand out in front of him in case he ran into something. I'm going to die, I'm going to die! He kept repeating that in his head. As he made his way to the exit.
Eve stepped to the side as the pawns where ripped apart and darted out. Pawns where the only demons that could came back after death, so most the time they'd pledge themselves to someone and die a bunch of times if it ment saving their master. As she neared the exit she started to laugh, what an experience. she thought to herself.
Conner pushed through the doors and fell to the ground. "Light, finally!" It was hot out, but he didn't mind, it was better then being in there with a giant bug that wants to kill you. "Well, that was an experience." He laughed.
Eve burst threw the doors after and crumpled to the ground along with Connor, "they think we're crazy" she laughed rolling onto her back. "But like rip…quite literally to those pawns." She laughed at her own sick joke. "Still in one peace other there?" She asked her laughter dying down.
"Yep, thanks to you." He smiled and also rolled on his back. "Man, I feel like there's always something to kill us everyday." He looked over at her, thankful that she didn't leave him to die.
"Isn't this only the second time you almost died?" To Eve that seemed like a record. Most of the guys before him had died at least once by now, and some how, Connor managed to not get himself offed yet. Thinking about death made her a bit sad and it showed on her face too. Her smile slowly fadded and her eyes seemed to dull. Just like how they looked when they first met. "We should go home." She said standing and dusting herself off.
He stood up as well, but grabbed her arm so that she was facing him. "Hey, are you okay? Looking at how her eyes are reminded her of when they first met, cold and emotionless.
Eve pulled her arm from his grasp and it was almost as if something stabbed her in the heart. It was a pain she'd never felt before, almost as if her heart was slowly breaking with in her. "I'm fine," she whispered out. as fine as someone who's heart may be Litarlly braking in side if them can be. she gave him a small sad smile.
"No, Eve, you're not." Conner's smile disappeared as well. He hated seeing her like this. "Please, Eve tell me." He thought they were getting closer, but it maybe he was the only one that thought.
"You wanna know what's wrong Connor? This!" Before Eve could stop herself she stood on her tipy toes and kissed Connor. It felt wrong in every way but at the same time it felt right and that made her heart hurt even more. It lit a fire inside of her that would consume everything in its path. Including her.
Conner was surprised at first, but soon enough his hand went to her cheek and he kissed her back. He has been waiting for this for so long and now it was happening. Conner was happy, but scared, scared they will be separated.
Eve pulled back with tears in her eyes, "you can go…" She pulled in a sharp breath, "I'll tell my father and you can go." Her one red eye had turned a darker shade that one could mistake for black if the lighting wasn't right.
"Whoa, whoa, what? No, I'm not leaving." If he had to he would stay in hell for her, it wasn't that bad. "Not after we just.." He turned away and bit his lip. There was no way he could leave. "Is there any way you could go into hiding on earth?"
Shock etched its self onto Eves face, "hidding?" She asked her mouth almost hanging open. "If…if the same rules that apply to humans here do to demons on earth…no" she knew no matter what it was pointless. Her father would always hunt her. He'd even have her killed if it ment bringing her back.
"Your brother is though, so why can't you?" He tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. Conner would do anything if it meant keeping them together, even if he had to become a demon. "Eve, I don't want to lose you."
"No you don't under stand. He's in a demon circle. No one can go in or out…at least no demons" Eve shook her head slightly. "And if you stay you'll die." Her breaths where shakey as if she wanted to cry. "And you'd forget."
"So, if I become a demon I would forget?" So, no matter what we do it won't work out? That reminded him of what the bartender said, he told Conner to give up a long time ago. "No, no there has to be something right?" Hen ooked at her desperate for anything.
"It wouldn't matter anyway. As soon as you went- go back to earth you'll forget. It would just seem like a hazy memory." Eve thought of all the times she'd been to earth with her sisters how every time after coming back it didn't feel real.
"Ugh, this is so frustrating!" He kicked a rock that was in front of him. "Eve, I can't leave you." There was nothing he could, at some point he was going to be sent back to earth by Satan.
Eve shook her head, "we have the rest of the year at least?" Her eyes seemed to go a even darker shade and she felt the pain in her chest again. less then a year. I should have fallen sooner.
Conner cupped her face in his hands. "That's true." He smiled but his eyes were full of sadness. Laying his forehead on hers, he felt his heart ache.
