Eventually, they made it to the Metzler’s palace, and Cam,Enron pushed open the wide, dark blue double doors. Cameron let her inside first, into the royal blue walled, baby blue carpeted and trimmed in red interior. Hanging from the ceiling was a cloth bearing a shield and a sword, with what looked like a grapevine strung over the hilt.
(When you haven't been online all day…)
"Wow. This is really nice!" Lilah declared as she walked in.
(Oof Sorry xD)
Cameron shrugged and avoided looking at the large tapestry. “Sure it is. Where’s… LILY!!”
A few moments passed and there was the skittering of smol paws on marble. Lily appeared, looking clean and floofy. She borked a smol bork and hopped onto Lilah’s legs, barely reaching her knees.
(Lol. I was at a friend's house and we watched a couple of movies.)
Lilah laughed and rubbed the dog's head. "Hey, puppy! I'm glad to see you, too!"
Lily licked Lilah’s face happily, wagging her little tail.
Cameron walked over and scooped up the puppy. “Up we go. You need to go outside, yes you do!” He cooed to her as he walked across the room to a long hallway stretching out to their gardens.
Lilah laughed when Lily licked her face. As she followed Cameron out the door, she grinned. This was the side of someone that you didn't get to see unless they were comfortable with you, and she was enjoying it.
Cameron nudged the door open with his toe, rubbing Lily’s tummy with a smile on his face. “Yes, yes, yes, I know! They don’t take care of you like I do, no they don’t!” Lily started to squirm as Cameron paused. He let her down and she scampered off to do her business.
(The Merzler garden looks like this btw: http://www.royalgardenhotelmilano.com/de/fotos-hotel-mailand/#PhotoSwipe1536539229416)
Cameron hummed gently and lead Lilah to the overhanging statue with grapevines crawling up it. He leaned up against the rail and sighed. “These are our gardens. It doesn’t look like much, but here we are.” He grinned at her.
(Ohhhhh… Pretty.)
"What do you mean, 'it doesn't look like much'?" Lilah questioned, looking around at the garden. "This is beautiful!"
Cameron’s grin turned into a smile. “Thanks. I liked your gardens much better, though.”
(Also, I’m going to be offline around 9.)
(Ah, okay.)
"Well, they're a bit more intricate, I think, but yours are simple and beautiful," Lilah declared with a shrug.
Cameron laughed gently. “Really? We don’t put much into it, as you said… I dunno, I think the simplicity kinda shows how little money we have. Or how much we put it into other things.”
"No, I like the simplicity," Lilah said, shaking her head. "Why wouldn't I?"
(Last one)
Cameron glanced back out for a few moments, then he hung his head between his shoulders, shifting his weight onto his other foot. “Just… I think it shows, a lot, how lazy and cheap we are.”
(Buh-bye!)
Lilah took a step closer to him and wrapped her arms around him. She looked up at him with a smile.
"Well, I still like it. I think it's cute."
Cameron glanced up at her and stood up slowly to hug her back. He grinned down at her and said in a rumbly, teasing voice, “If you like it, it’s good enough, yeah?”
"Yes, it's good enough," Lilah whispered as she looked up at him with a small smile, blushing.
Cameron smiled a little wider and leaned his forehead against hers. He hummed gently as he exhaled, relaxing against her.
Lilah rested her head against Cameron's chest, closing her eyes. She sighed gently. It was nice to just enjoy his company without feeling like she had to say anything.
Cameron started rubbing her back, setting his chin on her head. He sighed gently, enjoying the warmth of her hair. He also detected traces of her shampoo and conditioner, with a grin.
(Awwww, look it the fluff! turns to invisible person Mommy, can I have one?
'No, dear, fluff is only for people who are in relationships. You're still single, sweetheart.'
Darn…)
"Do you have any music?" Lilah murmured, breaking the silence without pulling away. This just seemed like the perfect opportunity for a dance. Beautiful garden, surrounded by quiet, hanging out with the guy she was growing to love… The only thing they needed was the music.
(xD I’m glad you’re having fun)
Cameron glanced around. “No, but why do we need it?” He shut his eyes again and started rocking them to the beat.
(Lol. XD)
"I mean, this is fine, but we look crazy," Lilah chuckled. "I've got music, though… Would you mind if we use it?"
Cameron shook his head gently. “We’re in a private garden. The only person or thing who’d be looking at us would be Lily and the insects.”
"Okay," Lilah acquiesced with a light sigh. She leaned into Cameron, hugging him slightly tighter.
Cameron shut his eyes again with a slight sigh of his own. Soon, though, he continued humming and rocking them back and forth.
Lilah swayed with him in silence for a moment. A sudden thought came to her, and she giggled.
Cameron’s humming cut off and his eyes opened. He paused in their movements. “What?” He asked, suddenly concerned.
"I just thought of a song that's perfect for this, and I've been singing it in my head," Lilah explained with a shrug.
