Elise slides off of the chair and shuffles to the bedroom, collapsing onto the bed next to Havenwood. "Hi."

Havenwood glanced at her. “Hey.”

Elise didn't respond, but stared at him, smiling softly.

Havenwood stared back, a grin working onto his face.

She poked his chest. "What are you grinning at?" She smiled.

“You, you’re smiling too.”

"So I am." The smile broke into a grin. "Wanna know why?"

Havenwood grinned wider. “Why?”

"Because I love you, that's why." She snuggled into him.

Havenwood smiled softly. “I love you too.”

"I know." She mumbled into his chest.

Havenwood huffed. “Do you, though?”

She raised an eyebrow, smiling. "Yuh-huh, pretty sure."

“You’re making it sound I don’t tell you that ever day.”

Elise laughed softly. "Love you too."

Havenwood relaxed into the bed. “It’s a forever cycle of love.”

Elise smiled. "Is it? I can live with that."

Havenwood grunted. “It sure is.”

Elise sighed happily, shutting her eyes calmly.

Havenwood set his head down with a gentle sigh.

Elise absentmindedly wrapped her arms around his neck, brushing his hair aside and running her cold fingers down his neck.
